A lot of people recommended ICEN on my last post for Economics students or graduates. Please can anyone share more details on how it works and how to get certified by the body?

My project topics was “ population growth, unemployment and economic growth in Nigeria”. Now I feel I should have made it about Lagos and not Nigeria. Would have been an interesting discovery. Would try it for fun, when I get a laptop.

A first class graduate walked into our office today for a job interview. I was part of the interview panel. We asked him about his final year project. He could not tell us the topic. Not a summary, not a vague description. Nothing. No confidence, no conviction, nothing outspoken about him at all. We thanked him and told him we would be in touch. Then we hired a 2:2 graduate who knew his field inside out. Undiluted truth: a certificate only tells us where you went. It says nothing about what you actually know. Certificates open doors. Knowledge keeps you in the room. Above all, love God.

How can I learn data analysis and R without a laptop? This no laptop thing is pulling me back a lot😭😢😩

It will be nothing is hard. A lot of people told me Economics is hard and I decided that I won’t pursue first class and I will just stay on a 4point and by the time I realized getting a first class was not hard after all it was too late. Eventually graduated with 4.40.

@favour75245 With the way we were taught in our set? It was still easy in the theoretical aspect but the problem started when we started using those softwares. If you did not have a base knowledge before class, it was a real struggle to understand. Thank God for project, that’s how I learnt.

Econometrics was considered the hardest for my mates, but it was the easiest and would say a real economist must understand econometrics.
