@PeteHegseth could you please explain to me why Endangered Species protection in the Gulf of Mexico gets in the way of national security? I am very stupid and need someone smart like you to explain it to me.

@jrmamana @ptichushka Tarantula was a bad example, his “Philosophy of Modern Song” from a few years back (as much as I like a lot of it) is rife with the same strained metaphors and flowery elaborative prose.

@jrmamana @ptichushka Any reading of Dylan’s previous writings would’ve told you this is definitely his authentic work, good or not. This is the guy who wrote Tarantula. I don’t understand why you’d just blindly classify it as AI, it doesn’t even read like AI short fiction (e.g. that NYT quiz).

@ColonelAnguss @bobo_circus To clarify I don’t think the NYT has any business using such a device given their daily platforming of IDF talking points and downplaying of the genocide at every opportunity. I think it’s also an inappropriate context to use it, but its purpose and intent are obvious.

@fiaryeater @bobo_circus No, but know your audience well enough to not insert cute literary devices where they won’t be understood (as is clearly the case here)

@PJiggles_ It’s far likelier that when it comes out people will be comparing it to this derogatorily

@_sn_n Don’t cheapen a good cause with a terrible argument. By talking about the standards people are held to you’re tacitly saying that those two images are equivalently vile.

@bobo_circus That may be true, but what population of the US—even people who might read this article—read below an eighth grade level?

@NYCMayor It’s funny how Zohran refused to name Islamic terrorism when ISIS aligned terrorists tried to hurl an IED in New York City last month. But he immediately names the “Jewish Defense League” so that he can try link terrorism in the minds of voters to Jews Sectarian bullshit

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani
A member of an offshoot of the Jewish Defense League — designated by the FBI as a "known violent extremist organization" — was allegedly building explosive devices to target the home of Nerdeen Kiswani in a chilling act of political violence. The defendant reportedly planned to flee to Israel following the attack. This comes amid an alarming rise in threats and violence across the country targeting Palestinian human rights advocates. I am thankful that the NYPD and FBI thwarted this plot, which could have endangered Nerdeen’s life and those of other New Yorkers. Let me be clear: We will not tolerate violent extremism in our city. No one should face violence for their political beliefs or their advocacy. I am relieved that Nerdeen is safe. Our city must meet hate with solidarity, and meet fear with an unshakable commitment to justice and to one another.
The New York Times@nytimes

Breaking News: Law enforcement officials are said to have disrupted a plot to assassinate Nerdeen Kiswani, the leader of one of New York’s most active pro-Palestinian protest groups. nyti.ms/4bGRsry

I've analyzed 200+ replays from Inksight data, and this taught me a lot about matchmaking, and why your X Battles have felt like they're unbalanced. Here's a few things Nintendo never told us 🧵👇

@unbuttonmyeyes [sees a stupid joke] This procedural workplace drama is a "soap opera" because it has a politics I find annoying. People having fun with a few similarities about composition, lighting, and gestural variety enrages me. My incredibly condescending post is for geniuses, actually.
