Bill Gates is very interested in your water. He’s the largest private owner of US farmland (~275k acres), much of it sitting right on top of major aquifers with attached groundwater rights. Meanwhile, BlackRock pours billions into water infrastructure/tech, and Nestlé fights tooth-and-nail to treat water as a commodity (not a human right). Water = the next oil. Control the source, control everything below it. While we’re distracted, the underground power grab is real. Who’s thirsty? 💧

Diesel powers trucks. Trucks move food. Fuel taxes push up the cost of everything. There will always be global events and global conflicts - politicians should put Australia first. It doesn’t matter if people are scared, or it’s concern that’s driving supply shortage, it’s YOUR responsibility to make sure there’s enough fuel, Mr Bowen. @jim_willmott1 @Mickofferdahl @macsween_prue @rowandean @JohnRuddick2 @LibertariansAus @LibertariansGaz @CampbellNewman @ReecePickens @Cribbertarian @RealMarkLatham @RitaPanahi @DanicaDeGiorgio @jamesmacpherson @TheCalebBond

An Australian teenager who died after eating beef sausages on a camping trip has officially been confirmed as the first person in Australia to die from a tick-induced meat allergy. Since 2020, cases of this allergy have increased by 40%. In 2016, World Economic Forum member and bioethicist Matthew Liao spoke about using genetic engineering or tick-based methods to induce a “meat allergy” in people as a way to reduce meat consumption for environmental reasons.

.... for now. As much as I admire the recent growth of One Nation, and I am glad for its challenging of the existing political hegemony, leadership stability is its biggest risk factor. Pauline Hanson is not far away from wanting to retire - so who becomes its next leader is very much a prospective shit-fight. A lot of people with very different political objectives have thrown themselves into the One Nation party, a party that does not actually have any prescribed principles (its principles are essentially whatever Pauline Hanson wants them to be - influenced by political and/or populist expediency). If (when) One Nation achieves a level of control over government decision making (either as a major cross bench party or as a partner in a coalition government) it will be a significant test of the party's leadership stability to keep those competing political objectives within the one team, and not fighting each other (in factional conflicts). The party also has a lot of voters and supporters, many of them newly politically activated, who have put a lot of aspiration onto the shoulders of One Nation. This will become a significant test of its leadership stability as it finds itself disappointing some (many?) new supporters as it starts making compromises with the government (to get legislation through the parliament) - similar to the journey of the Australian Democrats. So while I am happy for One Nation and its new support, I see significant risks on its horizon.
Pauline Hanson 🇦🇺@PaulineHansonOz

One Nation has a cracking team, and we’re all fighting for you.

Chris Bowen is paid $8,100 per week and, on top of that, claims $293,100 every three months from taxpayers for expenses.

@LibertariansNSW And yet, as I understand it, @ChrisMinnsMP is allowing an Invasion Day protest to go ahead on Australia Day, but no one else? If you agree with the Government, you’re allowed to push the minority narrative - if you don’t you’re a criminal. Appalling.

Libertarian Party NSW (Liberal Democrats)
While all eyes have been on Canberra, the NSW Police Commissioner has quietly extended his ban on protests across metropolitan Sydney for another 14 days. The Police Commissioner has narrowed the areas of ban to include only Darling Harbour, the Northern CBD and Eastern Suburbs. On the face of this it might appear as a win for Patriotic Australians, but really it isn’t. Any new powers over the right to assemble and protest is a step backwards. Citizens are meant to keep their government in check and be able to speak out when the government does the wrong thing. The Libertarian Party is seeking to repeal Chris Minns rushed laws that have stifled the right to protest, curtailed free speech and attacked Law Abiding Firearms Owners. #freespeech #righttoprotest #libertarian

So true @macsween_prue I have never viewed Albanese as weak - to the contrary - his rat cunning has seen Labor implement the worst policies this country has ever seen and on the big ticket items, the @LiberalAus has been in lockstep. How any Liberal MP, including but not limited to @JNampijinpa and @AndrewHastie could so comprehensively abandon their principles and values by voting to enshrine identity politics into law in the interests of self-preservation, greed and power, beggars belief. I didn’t desert the Liberal Party all those years ago - they deserted me. It’s time to consign those who are NOT on our side to the dustbin of history and off the public teat - they treat us with contempt. Good on the Nationals standing their ground. Former Victorian President, Michael Kroger’s arrogance was on full display last night and confirmed to me that the Liberal Party has completely lost the plot.

Serial liar @AlboMP disputes the fact he blamed @ScoMo30 for the rise in anti-Semitism when it’s on record that he did so twice in media grabs. The bloke has always worked on the basis that he can spin the truth - and sadly, many sucker voters fall for it. He is the most shifty & cunning political animal we have ever had inflicted on us. That’s saying something.

Andrew Hastie betrayed every Aussie who trusted him. He called Labor's hate speech bill an 'attack on our basic democratic freedoms: conscience, speech & religion' and then voted YES anyway. Promises broken, freedoms sold out for party deals. We won't forget this treachery.
