This is a typical Rice performance in possession. Serious question - Does this really impress anyone? Does anyone watch this and believe that this is the best level of midfield play? I am sorry, this doesn’t even come anywhere close. I rate Rice highly and his on-ball game is above average. But he is nowhere near the best midfielders in the game. There are many better.

@nonewthing He also doesn’t create space well. Teams can clog central areas so easily because his movements are all in behind (where he has no pace) and every time he receives the ball to feet he is awful at bringing others into play and letting people play off of him
