If I ever eat moin moin again in this life ehn 😭 Omo today was so embarrassing. So I travelled yesterday to shoot a child’s christening and they gave us souvenir, jollof rice, moin moin and all those things. Tell me why I started purging around 4am. I still had to travel back today. Inside the bus I was forming strong babe. I thought I could manage it. My stomach said iwo ke It got to a point I couldn’t pretend again. I quietly told the woman sitting next to me and she helped me tell the driver to park. As God would have it, my friend called me at that exact moment so I told her what happened and that’s how everybody in the bus heard the full story 😭 Next thing, people started whispering. “What happened to her?” “They said she ate moin moin yesterday.” Omo my shame wear me face cap They sha parked and I ran to the bush. Why did I just hear someone shout Bandits bandits while I was there fighting for my life??? Are you people okay Today really humbled me o 😭😭😭 Never again Moin moin 100- Me 0

All those visits to maternal and paternal sides with goats and yams to announce the death of a loved one… tell me which people have used this items to announce the death of their loved ones, Nobody is asking anyone for befitting burial, the only thing that umunna will require is that deceased must be cleared of all his or her dues. Umunna or Umuada is not compulsory to join, in order to avoid fulfilling their list, it’s better the person don’t join while alive so that when she or he dies, they will just dig grave and bury the person like that. Case closed You also forgot the case where Umunna use come together and share some of the burial responsibility with the family ?

I’m Igbo so I’ll speak for my tribe ~All those visits to maternal and paternal sides with goats and yams to announce the death of a loved one ~The mandatory umuada and umunna list that must be fulfilled before a burial holds. I’m talking tea, coolers of food , money , drinks. ~ cooking , serving food and dancing for days ..all expenses on the family of the deceased. A burial shouldn’t even be a ceremony . It’s not a thing of joy . Why do we celebrate especially if the person died young? In Africa , there’s absolutely no difference between a marriage ceremony and a burial except the tears and casket . We print banners and fliers, we give out uniforms , T-shirts and share TFC gifts. People should be giving to the grieving family not taking . Feed them , cry with them , help them ( that’s how it is with whites) . Families have ended up bankrupt after a burial. Why should it be so? A culture that takes and takes and offers no emotional, financial or mental support should end .
