I don’t agree with Ben Gvir’s plans but there is an irony that Israel has the death penalty in situ as a hangover law from when the area was under the British mandate.
It was used by the Brits (in the mandate era) to hang Jewish and Arab extremists as well as Nazi Adolf Eichmann.
