@ClayTravis So everyone understands, it is not the responsibility of the Secret Service to determine who gains entry into a presidential event. That is the role of the White House.

Media members with a hot mic discussing the "security" at the Hinckley Hilton before the White House Correspondents Dinner ⬇️ "They have like two random chicks holding the front door open. Like guys, they're not even trying anymore...they're not even secret service people. It's like the girls who work here are holding the door." @AnthonyRussoBFD @TWSYF_USA And more speculation. I will point out that Todd Blanche said that the officer that was shot is the one who fired all five rounds at the subject and missed, so he could not have been shot by friendly fire

@foxandfriends @FBIDirectorKash Awesome, Fox News host telling the Secret Service how to do their job. Then when the Secret Service has to rent tents and pay for electric and generators at future events due to weather concerns, and every guest has to wait in that weather, they will complain about that as well

NEW: @FBIDirectorKash promises a complete overhaul for the rescheduled White House Correspondents' Dinner, vowing the agency will handle the event "entirely differently." "I'll be working with the White House, with the Department of Homeland Security, the Secret Service, the Metropolitan Police Department." "The FBI will be fully resourced for that event to assist in the security... We're going to be better postured for the next event."

@glennbeck @KatiePavlich Another deceiving post. Secret Service is not responsible for who gains access to a presidential event. That’s the responsibility of White House staff. Secret Service ensures whoever is invited does not have weapons. If no one was checking tickets, that’s on White House staff.

.@KatiePavlich, who was at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, details the security "FAILURES" that could have easily led to a major tragedy: “It was a miracle that he was an amateur. If this had been an organized terrorist group or a suicide bomber... It was impossible, if we needed to leave the room, for people to get out… There was no ID check. There was no list of names. Anyone could have gotten in so long as you went through the magnetometer… There was no check at the street. Anybody could have walked into the building.”

@bennyjohnson I am former USSS-this is ridiculous, if it were a dirty bomb, they would’ve died. Of course they would have and nothing short of confining the president to the White House complex is going to prevent that type of attack. This is absurd.

Former FBI SWAT Member Ren McEachern Sounds The Alarm: 4 Gunmen With AK-47s Could’ve Easily Massacred Trump, Vance and Cabinet at WHCD Luck is the only reason there wasn’t a massacre. No lessons learned from Butler. “All you would have needed is four legitimate gunmen with something like an AK 47 each, and they would have gotten into the event room — no problem. And would have had a free for all with several seconds of shooting at everybody.” “The President, the First Lady, and the VP are at an elevated position — very easy for them to shoot up to. It’s just a disgusting situation. And I don’t know how many more times we have to take a chance like this. We were lucky that this did not happen.” We can’t keep relying on luck. Trump and his administration need proper protection. The level of Secret service failure is disgraceful.

@CBSMornings @AaronBMacLean I am Former USSS-another person who does not know what they are talking about. Does he really expect an agent to sit directly behind the president during an event, this is ridiculous. This has to stop. The security worked as planned, and the shooter was stopped at the perimeter.

@bennyjohnson I am former USSS-again this guest doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It’s standard procedure to break down the magnetometers once the guests have entered the event-they still have handheld wands for any late entries or bathroom visits. Bringing these guests on is a disservice

Was The Secret Service Shooting at WHCD A Case of FRIENDLY FIRE? Former FBI SWAT Member Ren McEachern: “I do believe, unfortunately, it was probably friendly fire, which often can happen in these chaotic situations if the training is not good.” “And I want to actually point to the three officers against the wall… Watch that guy in the middle. He drops very quickly. And it looks like, I believe, potentially, he may have been shot by the guy whose back is towards us, shooting at the subject as he’s running towards them. He drops like a bag of potatoes.” The signs pointing to shocking incompetence keep piling up. Why does Trump still not have elite-level security protecting him? This makes no sense.

🚨 Security FAIL exposed. They locked down the vehicle perimeter to stop bombs, fine, that part worked. But the outside perimeter? Completely ignored. The attacker just strolled in, checked into the hotel room, and walked right past all the big security guys — totally unchecked. His own manifesto said he was SHOCKED at how pathetic the security was.

Former FBI agent Dan Brunner: Everybody wants to call this a security failure. I see it the opposite—I think this is a security success. From what we saw, the suspect wasn’t even close to breaching security. He still would have had to go down two flights of stairs and get through additional secured doors. He didn’t even reach the magnetometers before being stopped. There were shots fired, and one agent was reportedly struck in a vest. It’s unclear how that occurred, but the key point is this: agents quickly collapsed on the suspect and neutralized the threat.

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸
When I was in Congress, they pressured us big time to vote for a clean renewal of FISA 702. They even used examples of American protestors against the war in Gaza and said 702 was needed bc they could have ties to Hamas. I voted NO to protect Americans, but it passed anyways with both R’s and D’s votes. Another concern is according to documents from whistleblower Edward Snowden, under the Obama admin an agreement was made for NSA to give raw intelligence data to Israel, “Raw Sigint includes, but is not limited to, unevaluated and unminimized transcripts, gists, facsimiles, telex, voice and Digital Network Intelligence metadata and content." No foreign country should receive American’s communications like text and emails. Trump should not be urging a clean FISA are authorization and Congress needs to make more reforms!
Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 tweet media
Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸@FmrRepMTG

Trump was always against FISA 702 without warrant requirements because it was abused and used to spy on Trump himself and well as hundreds of thousands of Americans? So why is he now demanding Congress reauthorize FISA 702 clean?? Without warrant requirements!!
