@SatiarShah Conroy is a better GM than Allvin. He's gotten quality and quantity (draft picks) for their aging veterans... whereas Canucks do the opposite and tend to overpay to get the player they want. Flames have been bad a lot longer than the Canucks, so naturally they are further ahead.

@adrianjhaug @patersonjeff @CanucksArmy Lazy take. Inaccurately overvaluing players and prioritizing Miller over Horvat has doomed this team. Management group has made a mess of a promising roster. Team has a player that leads league in hits; entitlement isn't issue, lack of talent is.

@patersonjeff @CanucksArmy Will the Canucks be able to shed the country club, entitlement issues with their culture if they don't trade EP40? Petey to Carolina might be an option??

Through two periods, Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar have been on the ice for 6:16 at 5-on-5 against each other. The Avalanche have an expected goals-for percentage of 99.27% in that 6:16.

Bang on. Had their leader, a calm mature presence who was still developing and the locker room has been a clown show ever since. I covered the game for almost 40 years. i never heard anything like the Pettersson-Miller fiasco
Noah Strang@noahstrang_

The defining moment of this #Canucks era and management regime (barring something wild) will be picking Miller over Horvat. Lots can be traced back to that moment.

Corey Perry will now have the dubious distinction of losing the last 5 Stanley Cup finals he has appeared in.

@SatiarShah Special player. Not sure why he played 30 minutes against the Sharks with the season over considering he was banged up this year. Seems questionable to me.

JT Miller has managed to piss off Tom Wilson already. Mind you, Wilson is prone to discontentment. But Miller still has the ability to set tone and battle against opposition’s top players. Canucks will miss him when he’s gone.

@SatiarShah What could have been - sign Markstrom, keep Tanev, trade promising Demko for a young centre, win a cup in three years. No playoffs this year?

Quinn Hughes has played 41 games and has 50 points. — 100 point pace as a defenseman. — The next highest Canuck (Conor Garland) is on pace for 56 points. Norris trophy.

@BruceMcCurdy Maybe, or having a player up there causes the offensive team to not sink all 6 players in the o zone, interesting to see if other teams adopt this

@AdjustedHockey @29TimKing @DailyFaceoff He had one Cup and 9 points in 13 games in Finals. 2G-4A-6pts in 2008... 1G-2A-3pts in 2009. That isn't to discredit your comment, so much as to correct his total. Connor's final was insane.

This Caitlin Clark conversation from Kornheiser and Wilbon exemplifies why they have had the best sports talk show in America for nearly 25 years. Smart. Detailed. No hot takes. Just two actual journalists with brains. Refreshing.
