Hate to say it, but Ottawa is the team that has the best chance in the Eastern Conference to upset Carolina. I give Buffalo a chance too, but this might just be their year to make their first Stanley Cup appearance under Brind’Amour

@JustWanaBS Control is defined in the rules as "having possession" (being the last player to touch the puck) & "propelling the puck." Technically he deflected it over the line. Fair. But other rules involving "control" like delayed penalty stoppage treat deflections as control. Inconsistent.

“Staal did have possession but not control” So the refs get to decide what control is and that is what takes the game winning goal off the board A JUDGEMENT call gets to keep this going.

@TonyDACN They came out and set the tone in game 1. It's a long postseason though and that's a harsh play style to keep up. Might as well keep some in the tank while you've got the series lead, especially since it's only round 1.
