New type of guy I met: works in a government institution, has lots of time on his hands at work, and is making apps left and right to solve problems for his friends and community Today a retired colleague of his came in specifically to ask him for help converting heic photos into pdfs for a book he's writing and for fitting them nicely into different page layouts. My guy whipped up an app in Claude and put it on the old man's phone and laptop

@bitpixi @AlboMP yeah this govt is a joke. even mygov and the 7 other connected gov related web apps still feel like they were made in the 90s and barely work. there is a shitload of talented software engineers in australia and zero of them were used for any of this.
