I had the opportunity to work closely with him during my tenure as Collector, Pune, particularly during the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic. We held weekly meetings to formulate and review strategies for managing the crisis. His concern for the health and lives of Punekars was deep, genuine, and unwavering. Even after I joined the Pune Municipal Corporation, he continued to personally follow up with me on important civic issues such as sanitation and traffic management. I always found him to be a remarkably straightforward individual, deeply humane, and genuinely caring towards officers and colleagues. His passing is not only a great loss to the State, but also a personal loss for officers like me who had the privilege of working under his guidance. Heartfelt condolences on behalf of all officers and staff of the Pune Municipal Corporation. May God grant strength to his family to endure this most difficult time. Shri.
