Also note @UKLabour are going to raise the fare for this excellent service another 4.6% in the new year, because nothing says 'we support working people' like making it more expensive to get to work

I quit cycling through central Reading - too dangerous - now I go to @UniofReading via Earley station which means changing. This morning @GWRHelp conjured yet another 10 minute delay out of nothing, another missed connection and 30 mins wasted. And we wonder why everyone drives.

@timofnewbury Yep! Although my cheapo rear light has (probably) been stolen too at Earley station in Reading recently, along with my helmet which I foolishly forgot to lock up or take with me. My bike, which is probably about my age, remains🙂

A reminder to bicycle owners that it is sensible to take your lights with you if you ever park your bike at Newbury station 'bike hub'. Realised on the train that I had forgotten to take mine and returning 2 hours later it had been stolen. Bike and cheapo rear light intact. 🚴♂️

@nicolawriting It's honestly difficult to have any hope at all. Just have to live in the present as best we can and hope that if enough of us do that, the future will take care of itself.

We protested in the 90s, warning of this. We’ve come to accept ‘a month’s worth of rain fell in a few hours’ as new normal. A year’s worth of rain fell in 8 hours in #Valencia, killing people, wrecking lives. Everything we do now must powerfully include Climate, Justice, Nature..

The abundance and diversity of invertebrates at Manu in Peru is absolutely mind blowing. This Lichen Katydid (bush cricket) is one of the most outstanding inverts we have seen.
