This guy in my society sold his Duster Diesel top trim and bought Maruti Victoris base trim. I asked him why?
He said:
1. Right now my running is not much. Less than 800 kms per month.

This is a natural consequence of consolidation: More players coming into the segment.
When Tata began pushing EVs in a big way, with the Tigor, and then the Nexon, there was little to no competition. Both the Mahindra eVerito and E2O were nearly dead.
It's only the advent of the MG Windsor that really gave Tata some competition. Now, the 20-30 lakh segment has Mahindra sitting pretty thanks to the Born Electrics.
Even so, the Harrier.EV was a very strong seller a couple of months ago, a position that's now been usurped by the Mahindra XEV 9s.
Going forward, Tata will face more heat from rising competition but it has a solid pipeline.
1. The Punch.EV is here, with a very sharp pricing.
2. The Tiago.EV, with BaaS, is rumoured to start from 3.99 lakh.
3. Then there's the Sierra.EV, which should be a solid foil to the Mahindra BE6.
4. The Delhi EV policy is here, and offers big incentives only to sub-15 lakh EVs. Tata has a distinct advantage here as none of M&M's cars operate in sub-15 lakh segments.
Net net, Tata may have a smaller share of the pie, but is well positioned to grow the pie larger.

I borrowed 50k from Dad and 50k from Mum to buy a laptop that costs 97k.
