Artemis II has reached its maximum distance from Earth. On the far side of the Moon, 252,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy have now traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history and now begin their journey home. Before they left, they said they hoped this mission would be forgotten, but it will be remembered as the moment people started to believe that America can once again do the near-impossible and change the world. Congratulations to this incredible crew and the entire NASA team, our international and commercial partners, but this mission isn’t over until they’re under safe parachutes, splashing down into the Pacific.

I have never seen a model predict an arc of supercell thunderstorms making landfall in California like this before. The severe weather setup we will see tonight is something you might only experience in this part of the world once a decade, or even less often. The @NWSBayArea discussion puts it into perspective: “In fact, our next shift just walked in and one of the meteorologists said it feels like Kansas in May out there.” The most dangerous line of severe storms, with the highest tornado threat, will make landfall after midnight along the coast from the Central Coast up to the North Coast. However, lines of strong storms will begin making landfall after 7 PM. Expect widespread wind gusts of 50+ mph, with isolated gusts over 70 mph tonight.

Last night didn’t end the way we wanted it to. Losing at Sonora hurts, and as the quarterback and leader of this team, I take that to heart. We did not play to the level we know we are capable of. But even through that disappointment, I refuse to let one night define what this team accomplished or who we became this season. What we achieved together is bigger than a single game. We brought home the first football Section Championship banner in Woodcreek history. We earned the right to compete for a NorCal title and play for a shot at State. We changed expectations for this program. We proved that Woodcreek football belongs on the biggest stage. Every teammate bought in. Every practice, every rep, every moment of adversity shaped us into a championship group. I am proud of the way we fought, proud of how we grew as men, and proud of the standard we set for every Woodcreek team that comes after us. To our coaches, thank you for believing in us and pushing us to reach higher. To my brothers in the locker room, thank you for trusting me to lead you. You all made this journey unforgettable. To our families and our community, thank you for showing up every single week and giving us the energy to keep going. Last night was painful, but this season was an honor. A blessing. And something I will remember for the rest of my life. Woodcreek football made history in 2025. And this is only the beginning.

I remember going to Round Table Pizza after my HS games 25+ years ago to watch the recap that Dell put on every Friday night. He was still my favorite to watch every Friday night as a coach now. I was able to meet him a couple of times and he was always a class act. Thanks Dell.

@SacMaxPreps What does a high school bowl game even mean? An 11th game where the CIF takes the gate entry money? Bowl games in college are fading because of the establishment of a playoff. I don't get this.

Looks like 8 teams in each division will compete for a section title. Seeds 9-16 will go to bowl games

@cifsjs Bowl games would be pointless. You're gonna end up with the same issues non-playoff bowl games in college have. A meaningless game with no significance.

Glad to be back playing my first 3 games have had 52 Carries 370 yards rushing with 3 touchdowns and 7.1 yards per carry.

I was limited/missed the first two games of the season with an injury. Felt good to be back playing again this week. 2 catches for 22 yards. While we didn’t win, we made progress this week on offense and we will work hard to get better each week! @ARCBeaverBall #BeaverBall
