Which is why they started using cheap China imported parts amd selling them for an even higher price. It became about greed. And the old timers never would have bought them had they not lasted a long time. They demanded it

Yes! No plastic parts designed to fail in 5 years! No engineered obsolescence. Just a good, simple product. You wouldn't get too many repeat customers because you'd build a solid product that lasts. But everyone else would get sick of the repeat purchases and would eventually convert

I’m as tech free as possible but it gets harder every year to find non tech replacements so I frequent market place and estate sales until that supply runs dry

I want an old fashioned stupid washer -- nothing smart about it bc my 3 yr old "smart" @samsung motherboard broke.
Bought a heavy duty @SpeedQueenHome washer -- they're still made in Wisconsin!
Drive a 2010 mini cooper and caravan (for dogs) -- mostly technology free!

It's not everyday that you see what appears to be a giant Penis driving down the road in Kansas. This was spotted on the KS10 loop road west of Lawrence a short time ago. If there is a crash later today involving this trailer, it sure would be an interesting police report.

What an awful ending to prime farmland. Here’s just a fraction of the panels that have been installed in Genesee County, NY. This is part of the ORES project: Cider Solar. They give these projects mocking agricultural names to try and trick locals into thinking this was good for rural Upstate NY. Another complex in Montgomery County carries the name “Cow Bell Solar.” This is one huge money-laundering operation in the form of green energy subsidies and credits. It’s going on between our state and foreign renewable corporations. Along the way, we’re losing the land that feeds us, forever. Wildlife is displaced in every direction.
