@cabcodes876 @TracketPacer Yes, even networking equipment. "Usually" recycling networking is wiping flash/destroying storage flash, removing memories etc. is it overkill? maybe but it depends of the company policies for recycling/destruction.

@Emirage6 Sometimes is not about to config from scratch but rather, troubleshooting as you may have to deal with someone else configuration and you may deal with a misconfiguration. You need to know what could cause an issue if your VLAN's just disappear, etc. Good luck on your CCNP btw.

@itech_live I agree. But I've already read about the basics when I took my CCNA. So I was just wondering how deep you have to go? How often you need to configure it from scratch. Since I didn't know it would be in the CCNP book :)

I am sorry but I have to ask: Do anyone ever use VTP in their network? When I study this subject I always think ”I don’t need this because NO ONE uses this”. And my brain starts to reject the information. #vtp #ccnp
