@CoachSwit I completely understand that the portal and NIL have changed college sports dramatically and as a fan, I don’t necessarily like it. But who is the beneficiary of transfer limits? It doesn’t seem to be the athletes. How can we restrict adults from pursuing opportunities?

The transfer portal has screwed up college sports. My bill is simple: you get 5 consecutive years to play 5 seasons and you get 1 transfer. After that, if you transfer again, you sit out a year. This will fix 80% of the issues in NIL today. - Tommy Tuberville

@CoachSwit You should have to be attending and passing. If you have a 27yo stud that is going for a phd he should be allowed to play. We’ve focused on sports being a way to make money, where it should be represent your school. I don’t understand why these 5th years who take no classes play

@ChrisMartin1961 Because to be honest with you, the mandated benefits do not allow for long hours to be worked the same way as they used to. You are lucky now to find a full time job, so to work the hours we take two part time jobs get no benefits and miss out on overtime. We cannot make money

I’m seeing, yet again, this surge of hatred for the Boomer generation. I’m a late season Boomer, born in 1961; I’ve worked for nearly 50 years, have been in the same profession for 37 years, I’ve routinely worked 45-60 hours a week. I don’t get why we are so vilified.
