@sryanbruenphoto Swan Yellow CDFT (male) hatched 2021. This may be his first year at attempting to nest. I can't see all the ring of who he is flirting with! Great photo. ❤️

Don't often do wildlife photos as I don't have the patience or sanity to get low constantly on the filthy ground but when I seen these swans in Malahide, I just had to get a shot.

A nice illustration of how colonies are connected via this bird and thanks to @jan___rod . It was born at Portrane (co. Dublin) in 2021, caught as a nesting adult at Baltray (co. Louth) in 2023 and this year has been caught again at Kilcoole (co. Wicklow)!

Walcreeper wintering site,Pálava,Czech Republic. Only 1-3 birds winters in the country each year. It was my bogey bird for ages,dipped several times some 14 years ago and never came back to try again.Until yesterday. Now big fat lifer ✅️

Two great waders caught and ringed over last 2 nights.Woodcock was always one of my most favourite and wanted birds,and I never even thought about ringing Grey Plover!

@collieennis wondering if you can help or point me to someone who could? Already tried calling the NPWS but they’re closed. A local cygnet has disappeared in the last two days, but my wife noticed it’s siblings are now tagged. Would the NPWS do a wellbeing check while tagging

@jan___rod I saw a juv Ringed Plover on Bull Island north mudflats with a green ring on each leg. Is that one of yours ?

Probably last two Ringed Plover chicks ringed in Portrane this summer.First at 35 grams big enough for colour,second one nearly half size 18 grams,but they are always hanging together,behaving like siblings and following the same adult🤔

@JackTynan393114 Kilcoole 250+ fledged, Baltray has probably around 60 chicks,Portrane 13 fledged. Good year for Little Terns.
