@CGProgram It is indeed. But again, Kennedy was an undersized 1, and Nate is a 6’10” 3 - that’s where the comparison rang a bit hollow for me.

Yep I gotcha. And your points are well-made. All I’m offering is what I’ve heard from multiple (2) NBA personnel guys. It falls under two things can be true. They’ll draft a kid while still believing he should stay in school. Those second contracts don’t always materialize. And that list is lengthy.

Discussion moves to Nate Ament soon. He’ll do what he and his family believe is best: NBA or one more year at UT. I keep thinking of Kennedy Chandler. Four years bouncing around multiple G League teams before his current 10-day contract with the Jazz. Tough call for these guys.

@CGProgram Understand your point, but still a $$ decision at the end of the day. It’s the second contract that any NBA draftee wants, & they want to get started on the first contract to get to the second contract sooner. But yeah, that’s the bet on himself I expect him to make.

Oh, that’s not the issue. Of course he’ll get drafted! My entire point is what happens next. Does Nate benefit from going right to the league and then getting sent to the G league like so many before him. Or does he benefit with one more year seasoning in college. It’s the question NBA executives and directors of player development ask every year.

@CGProgram Makes sense. But NBA has drafted in potential now for 5-10 yrs.

@jonpowersTN 100% Jon. Inarguable. But I can tell you there are several I’ve spoken to in the league who absolutely think Nate should stay in college one more year. But in the end, it’s Nate’s call, not theirs.

Farewell from Chicago. Covered 34 of 37 games in person this season. Too many thanks to give to the team @rockytopinsider and to everyone who followed and read, especially during my hiatus on here. More to come wrapping up the season and looking ahead to next year soon.

Holy craaap! It is being reported that Fulton County, GA certified over 17,000 votes in the 2020 election for which there was no ballot! Trump lost Georgia by just over 11,000 votes. Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensperger are going to need good lawyers. They are about to FO.

Michigan KILL SHOT! It's their 39th 10-0 run of the year, 4th most in the nation. Tennessee has only allowed 7 Kill Shots all year.

@luvthefive @BoardGeniuses Probably so. But the mo changed when the way the game was officiated did the for first 9 min completely changed. Are you so sensitive that you can’t recognize that? No one is arguing that Michigan isn’t a great team. So stop being such a candy ass and enjoy your win.

@jonpowersTN @BoardGeniuses Tenn was gifted two early fouls on Mara by the 15 minute mark and you’re crying about the game turning at the 11 minute mark of a 30+ point blowout by Michigan that could have been 40 if Michigan wanted it. Good Lord.

Tennessee-Michigan is an incredibly difficult game to officiate. A foul could be called on every possession, if the refs were so inclined.

@jonpowersTN @SlimySewell @EvanMiya Tenn is physical. I respect it very much. Both teams had a lot of fouls called, I think it was 8-6 in the foul category. Your guy isn’t forcing because of the refs, he’s forcing because it’s a good defense. Rick will get them next year (no he won’t)
