@SnazzyLabs You can get it to start by going through the preset programs and running a preset program in the menu. When you load a preset, wait a couple seconds and it will say press enter to start. That's how you can bypass the start button. I have a similar model with the same issue.

Everything is built like crap and nothing can be fixed.

@AllieRX @christitustech And I get his reasoning for wanting the same distro for all PC's but I think that's a terrible idea. If you want familiarity just run distros from a similar branch. I use Fedora and bazzite, which is fedora based. One is my gaming pc and the other is my laptop.

@AllieRX @christitustech Fedora workstation with GNOME or KDE (depending on your taste) should be #1 on recommendations for beginner distros. I've never had such a painless experience and I've been through many distros, including Ubuntu, Pop, Manjaro, Cachy, mint.

My Samsung Frame Pro got a new update that makes it a lot more stable. Except now there’s this insane bug that—after a few days—it starts displaying every HDMI input in the completely wrong color space. The only fix it to literally unplug the TV from the wall and wait 30 seconds.

@manchatz @atulit_gaur I believe carriers would rather sell 5G home as it's easier to control load, as you just limit the number of subscribers per tower, but you can't do that with cellular laptops, as people have the expectation that they can take it anywhere.

@manchatz @atulit_gaur My understanding is that in the business sector laptops with cellular are treated like hotspot plans, where there are fixed data limits, and no unlimited plan available, and people in the consumer side expect unlimited plans on all their devices.

Startup idea: laptop with sim cards so that we can use mobile data on laptops too

@SnazzyLabs I strongly disagree. By your logic, I would prefer CarPlay over Tesla’s own OS, and man, comparing CarPlay to TeslaOS is like comparing Blackberry to an iPhone. And OMG, I’m a super apple fanboy but I still can admit it’s horrible. CarPlay is the “baby software” for cars.

I think Rivian’s software has gotten a lot better. But it’s still behind CarPlay and always will be. Overcast will not make a Rivian app. Nor will Target. I don’t have my calendar. I can’t send messages. If Rivian’s OS is superior, why not offer both and let users pick?

I haven’t been using the AirPods Pro 2 for a week as people are very biased towards familiarity with headphones. I wanted to get used to the AirPods Pro 3. And I’ve come to liking the way the AirPods Pro 3 sound. But two songs with AirPods Pro 2 and wow these are so much better.
