@justkoonce @northsiden0tch @house068 The point is comparative risk. “He accepts the risk” doesn’t make a lollipop equivalent to gum/seeds/dip. It’s bulkier, harder, sticks out, and has a different hazard profile while playing.

This is silly, but if you can play baseball with seeds, gum, or tobacco, then I really don’t see why you can’t play with a lollipop.

@JRrews @ndirishks81 @awfulannouncing It’s not true. Ball 4 is never just a dead ball. You learn that in T-Ball, sprint to first and if they’re not paying attention try to swipe second. Same thing if a runner on second and a passed ball for ball 4 they can make an attempt at 3rd. Don’t listen to that dolt.

He obviously did not know it was ball 4. So If he knew he was tagged out before he touched the base . Why lock on base? So play should be dead If he is not attempting to go towards 3rd. Just like being safe at first and not turning towards 2nd. Change that dumb rule.

It’s not just because it sticks out of your mouth, it’s because it has a stick with a hard candy at the end that needs constant readjustments. Acting like toothpicks or seeds are in the same level of risk is disingenuous.
