@thatguy_Ty6 @EURbSn @BuzzingPop what did i miss had over 200m before dropping + the album has 18 songs compared to olivia's 13. iceman shoulda did better but it didn't so whats ur point
English

so if olivia is racist because of this man then what does this make taylor?

BLUEBERRY_.@Ophelia_krystal
It's not like Olivia herself is racist

@normani_beystan @huhneymoan @discodiick @mrbluemouth Beyoncé was the most commercially successful female artist in the US during the 2000s, per Billboard. She then realized there was so much more interesting things she could do, and the rest is history. Meanwhile Taylor was hitting rock bottom last year, artistically speaking.
English

@huhneymoan @EURbSn @discodiick @mrbluemouth Even by your argument, Beyonce’s is very much still important and “worthy.” She has the most Grammys (you say worth is dependent on awards). She is quite literally praised by everyone in the music industry. Critics actually like her music.
English

@huhneymoan @discodiick @mrbluemouth LMFAO was one of the top bands in the world for 2 years. Until recently Dance Monkey was the top female solo song on Spotify. Drake just surpassed MJ in #1 singles in the US. Just to name a few evidences that consumption naturally equates with quality, right?
English

@EURbSn @discodiick @mrbluemouth As I said the proof of the quality is, people are coming back to listen, if your fave music quality was good, they would come back and listen to it too, but the numbers are telling that they are not..soo…
English

@huhneymoan @discodiick @mrbluemouth Funny how you guys don't even try to defend the quality of the music anymore.
English

@EURbSn @discodiick @mrbluemouth Artists art is worth or not is proven by the numbers, awards and the praised by the people. given the fact that praise are also reflected by the numbers. Tay owned the songwriter Hall of Fame and people are listening to the album and returning and not doing same for Beyoncé…
English

@huhneymoan @discodiick @mrbluemouth You're right, Beyoncé's gracefuly entering legacy territory. Meanwhile TayTay just released the most juvenile music of her career and is chart obsessed as an insecure 20-and-something-year girl still trying to prove her worth. One definitely is not like the other.
English

@EURbSn @discodiick @mrbluemouth Because she’s a flop tanking artist with a dying career. Her last album getting a 3 figure streams daily…she’s irrelevant to any discussion
English

@discodiick @mrbluemouth Because Beyoncé fans don't try to insert her in every conversation, and worst, painting her as a poor thing.
English

@mrbluemouth why isn't she comparing her to Beyoncé? the one whose father had the same connections.
English

@KaiXueTingShuo @mrbluemouth Wasn't she until very recently playing the eternal victim card because she too was too dumb to read her contract?
English

@mrbluemouth “My favorite artists were too dumb to read a contract and that’s Taylor Swift’s fault!!!”
English

@nogloryjustguts Olivia was the pawn, not the perpetrator. It was grown men managing her that devised the scheme
English

can swifties please decide if taylor is an amazing mastermind who is the music industry or a victim who got taken advantage of by a highschool student because the narratives are exhausting to follow
Folky ☁️@folkpetz

@laraoony @caramelcolored So he doesn't like the music you like and for that he's misogynistic. Got it
English

This is nice sweetheart and also the bare minimum, when people say he's misogynistic we have our reasons.
For one the halsey review. He clearly spent little time acknowledging what Halsey went through. He reduced her personal experiences, vulnerability and coming to terms with her morality to "angsty girl" and "main character syndrome", trivializing her experience. A woman getting ignored and downplayed from her experiences, a tale as old as time. Its quite literally just about a woman's genuine medical pain and trauma being downgraded to "attention-seeking" or "hysterical" drectly mirroring systemic medical misogyny where women's pain is routinely disbelieved or downplayed by men. He treats female artists as if they lack full creative control or authenticity. During the album review, he degrades and mocked her homages to influences like Stevie Nicks, essentially reducing her art to a cheap imitation rather than a legitimate tribute. Its like this hyperfixation on whether a female artist is "genius" or merely "derivative" is a longstanding double standard in music criticism.
Theres fiona apple then. He severely misrepresented the lyrics to the track "For Her," which explicitly addresses sexual assault and rape. His dismissive tone toward the track was basically just a rigid refusal to properly engage with or understand a woman's trauma.
Theres sabrina carpenter. When male artists write bitterr, aggressive, or obsessive breakup albums, he celebrates them for being raw and complex. When sabrina does it, he framed her normal human messiness as "controlling," "yuck," and "not a good look to feel bitter from a break up." Its like hes playing into the sexist trope that women should always be graceful, quiet, and “flattering" in the aftermath of being hurt.
Its nice you find some light in him, just dont get surprised when seeing him get dragged lol

YUP Anthony Fantano has shooters and I’m one of them. I keep repeating myself, I’m sorry I have adhd but, I’ve been a fan of fantano’s ever since I’ve seen him stand 10 toes down and defend black women time and time and time again.
Now fantano has moved away from the edgier content he had in the past and he was QUOTING other people on those edited clips that you see resurfacing. It doesn’t make it any better but that context matters. Fantano uses his platform to help black women rising in the music industry AND has defended women from misogyny. He does it BECAUSE of how unpopular it is to do this.
and because of fantano’s politics and him relentlessly calling out bigots, is why you see these clips resurfacing. I mean for the love of fucking god, those clips were edited and posted by an akademiks fan account. Fantano called out akademiks for his misogynistic attacks on Megan thee stallion.
I do believe people have the ability to transform. The worst of the worst of people can not only change, they can do GOOD. Does that mean YOU have to forgive him and watch him? no absolutely not. I myself DO enjoy watching his content and I believe he does good. I constantly see that in his content.
I mean I’m not going to give the guy a crown for standing up for women of color but damm it I do recognize his activism, and I find it disgusting how disingenuous these clips are being spread. I mean seriously the last time I remember seeing these clips, it’s when he defended doechii against adin ross’s vile harassment towards her. Also, what a disgusting tweet.

𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗮⸆⸉ 🌼@laraoony
@caramelcolored fantano has shooters? like id get shooting in the sense of ejecting a load to him but defending him? lol ok girl
English

@RayanYawad22411 @PopBase She also did this with no bundle, because bundle is not what you think it it. You're just repeating some term you read online.
English

@tradesman333 @PopBase This is with pure copies, not bundles. Bundling means one item is bought combined with other. Not the case here. People started to use this term because artists used to *bundle* pure copies with tour tickets a few years ago. Billboard banned that from chart consideration.

E a Adele vinha do maior álbum do século. Agora o álbum do Beck?

Ajijo A. Charles@Jimerald1
Which Beyoncé album of the year loss at the Grammys aggravated you the most?
Português

@TcLethor @Kellyceeee @chartdata Complimenting: Coldplay basically did with The Spheres Tour. Apparently BTS is topping that with their current tour. Bad Bunny has been huge as well. U2 is another legacy act with potential to do that. Anyways, I digress.
English

@TcLethor @Kellyceeee @chartdata To be fair, Coldplay, Beyoncé could top that with as many concerts. And maybe the huge legacy acts - Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Madonna (?) - if they could do a stadium tour so demanding such as Abel's.
English

@rnbsoul21 @gothamhiphop Yes, but the decisive factor to turn him into one of the biggest tour powers in the last five years is that the show is insanely good. People leave one concert determined to see him again whenever possible, and that's what really attracts huge audiences, not hits.
English

@gothamhiphop I think his fan base grew insane after “after hours” and blinding lights . That’s why he’s unstoppable this decade.
English

Despite The Weeknd’s insane streaming success, the hard ticket sales will always be the most impressive accolade to me
Kurrco@Kurrco
The Weeknd’s 'After Hours Til Dawn' Tour has sold over 3M tickets and earned over $440M in revenue in 2026 🤯
