Its basically gambling 101. Ankther way to look at it is, imagine going on a holiday. People love the opportunity and excitement, the rush they feel when going into unchartered territory. Once they get acquainted, it's like kids and they say "boring". Where's the next exciting trip. Same logic here. Once roadmap or something is dropped, move on to next unknown.

There needs to be a psychological case study on this done IMO it’s like Stockholm syndrome. Like otherside should have sent the space booming they delivered what they said. I think until people want actually utility over speculation it will be a struggle for new people to want to join the space.

The strange thing about Web3 is that it may be the only industry where building more can make you less valuable. Over the last few years I’ve built: The Crypt. OOGIES. EMILE. FREELONS. A TCG. Games. Lore. Communities. Websites. AI systems. Yet the longer I spend here, the more I wonder whether I’ve fundamentally misunderstood the game. Because if you were designing an industry to reward builders, you probably wouldn’t design this one. You’d find it odd that attention often outperforms execution. You’d find it odd that scarcity often outperforms utility. You’d find it odd that the shortest path to profit and the longest path to value are rarely the same thing. After 5 years in NFTs and 3+ years as a founder, I’m beginning to suspect that many of the incentives are perfectly designed to produce exactly the outcomes we complain about. Which leaves me with an uncomfortable question: Am I building businesses… …or am I building things inside an environment that systematically undervalues building? I’m genuinely no longer sure. And that’s a difficult conclusion to arrive at after half a decade.
