FWIW I was a consultant at Ole Miss the last 3 years and know Andrew Jones (LB) a bit. I use a certain tool to look for any issues that might get in the way of an athlete achieving up to whatever his talent level might be. I believe Ole Miss was Andrew's third school. He was a hard guy to get to know, but for some reason, about halfway through the season, the switch finally flipped for him and his play, and reps, showed it. I can't predict how things will turn out for him in the end, but based on what I know, I would have taken a chance on him in a tryout also.

Search is full of ads and wrong answers. Every other email is an ad. Prime Video charges you and shows ads. Paramount? Ads. Peacock? YouTube? Hulu? Ads followed by more ads. Netflix full of ads. Meta and X, every other thing is an ad. Pinterest is nothing but ads. AI is in everything. AI finishes sentences incorrectly and won’t stop. AI reads your email and search history to target you with more ads. Every time you open an app or visit a site there’s an update making it worse. In a hurry? First, click here to agree to terms you don’t have time to read and must accept. You need an account to do that. Change your temporary password. Enter your 2FA code. Check your email and enter that code. Now use a passkey. Your password is too simple to remember. Change it. No, not like that. Now log on. Enter your 2FA code. Check your email for a code… Welcome back! We’ve updated our terms of service and privacy policy (you have none). Subscribe to the site. Subscribe to Netflix. Subscribe to toilet paper. Subscribe to these groceries. Pay a membership fee for the right to subscribe then tip your driver who delivers the subscriptions your membership lets you subscribe to. Time to work? We’ve got to update your laptop and will slow down everything you do until you agree to update. But first, click here to agree. Update installed — your laptop’s broken now. It doesn’t matter, since your boss just replaced you with AI. Go to your phone to complain on social media. Wait, your phone needs an update so we can add more AI. Click here. Oh sorry, your phone can’t handle this update. Now it’s useless. Go get the newest phone. Here’s a text from a friend, an email, a voice mail they left three days ago but you didn’t see until now because of sync problems with the cloud. It’s their GoFundMe. Their MLM. Their Patreon. Never mind, you didn’t respond to their text within 9 minutes and now you’re no longer friends. They blocked you. Make new friends. Download this app to find people in your area. In your neighborhood. On your street. Two doors down from you. Do you know this person yet, we think you’d get along. You need an account to use this app. That username is taken. Enter a password. Not that one, you used it on another site. You need to be connected to WiFi to download the app. Allow the app to connect to other devices on your network. Allow the app to access your contacts, know your precise location, store your credit card details. Oops, sorry, we got hacked now all that info is available on the web. There’s a class action suit. You can join. It’ll take a decade to get your $3.73 share of the ten billion settlement. We’ll send it via PayPal or deposit it to your bank, just tell us those details. Oh no, another hack. That info is circulating now, too. Here’s a spam call, a spam email, a spam text. Why are you angry? Why are you talking about getting rid of your phone? Why don’t you like AI, it lets us make all of this easier? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds? This is progress. You’ll be left behind. Do you want to be left behind? Do you???

This summer, County Highway will put up billboards in six places whose names contributed to great American song titles and lyrics. Care to make a suggestion?

An acquaintance who holds an elected position in municipal politics and knows the landscape mournfully once told me he wished he started an NGO or a charity, ‘You can take in $500k and spend $400k on salary for yourself.’ This sort of set up was very common in his estimation.
FischerKing@FischerKing64

So basically a ‘non-profit’ is a highly profitable enterprise for the people who run them - their friends in government funnel taxpayer dollars to them, and they pretend to engage in some kind of charitable activities that don’t achieve anything.

I worked for Ole Miss as a consultant while @Dezhaunthegreat was there and know him well. I am not a talent scout. I use a certain assessment to determine what, if anything, might exist in a person's thinking that would interfere with their ability to maximize whatever level of talent they were gifted with. Strib had one of the strongest profiles I have ever seen, and I have tested hundreds of players from some of the highest profile college FB and BB teams in the country. He has NO red flags. For example, he will NOT crack under pressure, and believe me, I have data on plenty of guys who will and do. In fact, at crunch time, Strib's play will actually elevate. He is a guy you will want on the field when it's 4th and long and you have to convert. He will be a consummate professional and good teammate. I am not qualified to judge his talent, but I will say, without reservation, he will CONSISTENTLY play at, and likely above, whatever talent level you see on film. I have preached about him to anyone who would listen for over a year.

General Grant: “Battles had been fought of as great severity as had ever been known in war, over ground from the James River and Chickahominy, near Richmond, to Gettysburg and Chambersburg, in Pennsylvania, with indecisive results, sometimes favorable to the National army, sometimes to the Confederate army; but in every instance, I believe, claimed as victories for the South by the Southern press if not by the Southern generals. The Northern press, as a whole, did not discourage these claims; a portion of it always magnified rebel success and belittled ours, while another portion, most sincerely earnest in their desire for the preservation of the Union and the overwhelming success of the Federal armies, would nevertheless generally express dissatisfaction with whatever victories were gained because they were not more complete.”

🚨 JUST IN: JD Vance CALLS OUT American media outlets like the New York Times for publishing BULLSH*T "10-point peace plans" from Iran "I've seen various organizations like the The New York Times, CNN, others pick up and run the original 10 point proposal based on little more than a RANDOM YAHOO in Iran submitting it to public access television in the country of Iran, and then them saying that somehow represents the negotiating position of the GOVERNMENT." "It's the equivalent of somebody in, let's say a Democratic councilman in Boise, Idaho, saying something crazy, the local public access TV picking up that crazy statement, and then the New York Times running that as the position of the PRESIDENT of the United States." "It doesn't make an OUNCE of sense!"

@ezralevant No. I support what is going on in Iran and am excited about our success. But the public profanity by @POTUS is unnecessary and demeans the office. For generals and admirals, have at it. But not for presidents

Gen. Patton on profanity: “When I want my men to remember something important, to really make it stick, I give it to them double dirty. It may not sound nice to some bunch of little old ladies at an afternoon tea party, but it helps my soldiers to remember. You can’t run an army without profanity; and it has to be eloquent profanity. An army without profanity couldn’t fight its way out of a piss-soaked paper bag.”

During the Easter Offensive, a USAF pilot was shot down over North Vietnam in a densely patrolled area with 30,000 PAVN soldiers. Americans used his photographic memory of golf courses to guide him past minefields over open radio until he could be rescued by Navy SEALs.
