Carney has all the cards, he can - offer cabinet positions - committee roles - lavish attention This is a reflection of Carney not of Pierre. 🚨🚨This is an important message. This is all being done for a reason, it's to exhaust you and get you to disengage. Do not take the bait. The Liberals have had a practical majority since 2019 with the NDP and the Bloc. They can pass any legislation they want at any time, they don't need the floor crossers. They're doing this to discourage you so severely you stop trying, allowing them to rule for another 10 years. Many conservatives will help them by giving up and encouraging others to give up too. This is why the Liberals are trying so hard to get floor crossers, it is wildly demoralizing. It's not about a majority it's about demoralizing their opposition. And it's working on many in our community. Don't let them do it. Stay the course, stay united, keep fighting. If it were Harper or Scheer, the Liberals and the media would do be doing exactly the same thing. If anything, we should be intensifying our effort not taking our toys and going home. Are you the kind of person that can keep fighting or do you quit when it gets too difficult?

I don't think the spate of floor-crossings says much about the opposition parties or their leaders. There is always going to be malcontents (Gladu, D'Entrement) and opportunists (Ma, Idlout) sitting on the opposition benches. But they say a great deal about a prime minister who is willing to use the power of the state to entice those MPs to join the government, overturning the results of the last election. #cdnpoli #cdnpolitics

I spoke to a neighbor just now. He asked how I was doing. I said BAD. Today we found out Canada is no longer a democracy. One of the most conservative ridding in Canada now has a Liberal MP no one voted for. Neighbor response: It’s all Donald Trumps Fault.

Pointing out hypocrisy (and there truly is) is not persuasive. It serves the persons ego rather than influencing. The trend has moved to real Machiavellian politics. Although floor crossing is allowed, those that feel compelled to justify the current moves, says more about their proclivities to being managed as opposed to truly embracing the democratic principles as were intended. Regardless, many see concern by these moves at this time, more so for the blindspot the Red Team has and the very real unintended consequences long term for the already shaky unity.

Pierre Poilievre has created a party that has no confidence in him. This many floor crossers is unprecedented. He will not survive as Leader of the Opposition till the next election. A man who had his chance to seize greatness, and fumbled it in the most pathetic way at possible.
