Could you have imagined some 20 years ago that Victoria would be in such a mismanaged, often corrupt, mess that its police departments, prisons, courts are all rabbles and therefore the public has to take care of themselves... sadly, very sadly... it all comes back to things like a 2009 OPI investigation not being run... leading to the culture of corruption and blind eye turning mess Victoria finds itself in today.
That is why we have a justice system, to hold criminals to account, to set examples, so their colleagues and peers don't behave the same way... government and police corruption are the most cowardly, pathetic types too... the Epstein's of Victoria.

Great debate on The Triple Trio about Tony Cruz and the whip.
We ran the numbers. 76,612 runners. 7 seasons.
Cruz's unwhipped horses win at nearly DOUBLE the rate of his whipped ones.
The data may surprise you.

@ScooterMcNeice Don’t like El-Hawli being selected. Prior needs to play down back and not on a wing. Duursma is the Winger.

Victoria has lost the Phillip Island MotoGP after nearly 30 years because this government took its eye off the ball and failed to lock in a new contract.
This is a massive blow to our tourism industry, local jobs and small businesses that rely on major events.

@aflratingsPete Would like to see McGrath play more midfield. Means Nguyen goes to defence. Prior has been training on the wing and Duursma as a forward. Can’t see Prior being a wingman. Not sure why Scott keeps experimenting on the wing…

Essendon’s possible Round 1 team:
B: Reid, McKay, McGrath
HB: Roberts, Ridley, Redman
C: Duursma, Caldwell, Fiorini
HF: Perkins, Caddy, Langford
F: Guelfi, Wright, Kako
FOL: Blakiston, Merrett, Parish
Bench: Durham, Clarke, Farrow, Jones, El Achkar
Inj: Bryan, Robey, Martin
With McGrath returning to defence Nguyen narrowly misses out, won’t be a surprise if he plays against Hawks with their small forwards.
Blakiston over Visentini at this stage to start as No.1 ruck until Bryan returns from injury.
Sharp, Kondogiannis and Robey to develop as the season starts, Bombers likely patient with Robey following an interrupted first pre-season.
Prior to play if Ridley isn’t ready to go.
Jones plays with Wright likely to support ruck, that maintains a similar marking F50 option.

@SEN_track @bet365_aus Doesn’t matter what you call the scale or the numbers if the conditions given out by the stewards continue to be misleading and inaccurate. Fix the problem at the root cause rather than continue to play with the system.

Wayne Hawke believes Australian racing should use fast, good, yielding, slow and heavy track ratings, instead of the current system.
