Given the fact that this was a bilateral negotiation between the US and Iran that did not include Israel, why did Vice President JD Vance even take his phone call? It makes it seem like both President Trump and the Vice President are subordinates of Netanyahu which they likely are.

My NRC colleagues in Lebanon are witnessing horrific scenes of destruction and death in civilian areas.
Bombardment of civilian areas is a grave violation of humanitarian law.
There must be an immediate ceasefire, Israel and Hezbollah must stop their attacks, and Israel must withdraw from the Lebanese territory it currently occupies.
