A few nights before my first child was born, we let our dog out around 3am to pee (we thought; she was going crazy). She was promptly sprayed by a skunk, so @evanm and I washed her down with anti-stink shampoo on our driveway with me in my nightie and suuuuper preggo belly

Spent 30 minutes today showing my ~4yo daughter Google Earth on my iPad, looking up where we live, where grandma and grandpa live, where people we know are traveling in Europe right now, where Bluey lives, etc. Good reminder that Tech can be good, actually.

I was previously disappointed that my daughter doesn't like chocolate, but this is such a fabulous asset because we can eat chocolate in front of her without sharing 😊

Pet peeve: When a (almost always male) colleague reaches out via Slack asking to meet, putting the onus for setting up the event on me. WHY? Do you not know how to use Google Calendar or Zoom??

The most GENEROUS paid parental leave ends at 3 months. At 4 months old, human babies go through a developmental stage called "The 4 Month Sleep Regression," which means they are awake all night. America is built for primary caregivers to fail. Please read this screaming.
