In times like the present lunatic-made crisis, the Philippines should realize why it is in a dire straits (pun intended) ... that being an Asian country but not behaving like one and historically in cahoots with Western powers may and will mean its eventual isolation from its neighbors. Now the two countries which it has historically called "godless" and even "evil" may just come to its rescue. In the 21st century, a 75-year old lopsided treaty won't save the country. That piece of toilet paper just might destroy it. Let that sink in. Independent foreign policy, my ass.
