You either die a hero, or live long enough to audit chialisp.

We’re excited to welcome @el_hajin as our newest Associate Security Researcher (ASR). With first-place finishes on Cantina and other top platforms, plus a strong track record in team and solo contests, he brings deep EVM expertise, infrastructure focus, and a methodical approach to security.

Secured 15th and 10th place in Blend V2 and Forte audit contests respectively on @code4rena. Blend was my first ever rust encounter, learnt rust from scratch and gave full length (21 days) to it, expected better results but can't complain. Forte was unique in itself, got to re-fresh my assembly from scratch, still left the logarithm function. Spend around 6 days on this one, I prolly underestimated myself here with the issues I found, this was one of those contests where getting top 5 would've been easier. Nevertheless, need to stay consistent and grind harder.

Process from first message until audit start: 1. Client messages us "we need an audit" 2. We ask for Github access to estimate effort 3. We estimate the effort and come back to shoot a quote 4. When quote is accepted we take care of invoice and payment 5. We organize a team of 3 or 4 auditors (usually 4) and potentially up to 3 interns 6. We create group chats, one for auditors and devs and one for auditors. 7. We get all Github accesses, announce our simple audit process and start Simple, straightforward, fast - our values🫡

Is there any resource where you can track all your activity in the web3 security space (like public/private competitions or solo audits?)

@gjaldon All 5 IMO is the best way to do so, but i would say 2 3 4, with 2 3 being the most viable proof; large payouts + most bugs means that the person has a strong attention to details and also have developed advanced cerebral algorithms far more superior than the other contestants.

What’s the best way to become a credible and competent web3 security researcher? Choose one: 1. Large X following 2. Contest wins 3. Bug bounties 4. Private audits 5. Employment No wrong answers. Only opinions.
