The U.S.’s low average population density and long travel distances make nationwide passenger rail undesirable, not impossible. We don’t have it because we don’t want it. By contrast, the U.S. has the world’s largest aviation market, with the most airports per capita and air travel more affordable for the average person than China could even dream of. Air travel makes sense for America, and we are the best at it. And even if you are obsessed with rolling shit on rails, the U.S. also has the world’s largest and most efficient rail network, it’s just used to move freight instead of people, because we can afford better.

College Gameday would be so much cooler if they went back to smaller schools/niche rivalries instead of rotating big name P4 schools every year
