If you could delete one piece of your backend glue stack (queues? cron? orchestration? realtime?), what would it be? I wrote about @motiadev — a "step" into unifying the stack, bundles: api + jobs + workflows + events + shared state + streaming.

Claude Opus 4.6 works so well. I asked for for a Palantir alternative to view conflicts around the world using Claude Opus 4.6 on @capacityso Took 15 minutes and 3 prompts.

@mscccc what do you need more from hosting provider than stability and reliablity? race to add as many AI features makes platforms exactly opposite of that

Here's a 1 GB memory reduction for very long Claude Code sessions Before: `() => controller.abort()` Fix: `controller.abort.bind(controller)`

I am thrilled to launch @pullbase an open source project that treats every Linux server like a Git-managed resource Why Pullbase? - Pull-based Go agent keeps every Linux server in its declared Git state. - Continuous drift detection & auto-reconcile. - Straightforward YAML configs and an intuitive web dashboard. - Completely OSS - Designed for teams of any size Try it, fork it, improve it: 🔗 GitHub: github.com/pullbase/pullb… 🔗 Docs: docs.pullbase.io 🔗 Website: pullbase.io Contributions and feedback welcome!

@cited what if think you are an adult terrified of mediocrity, procrastinating at every opportunity so failure can't prove that you're just average but in fact you are burned-out gifted kid?

@jamesacowling This is major problem in every org right now, code reviews are harder than ever and takes much more times due everyone using AI generating extra code that is not needed

Every senior engineer I know is currently bottlenecked by code review, correctness, and trying to wrangle the output of their team in sound architectural directions

If you haven't read about The Software Crisis of the 60s/70s you should: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_… Productivity ground to a halt before they developed good abstractions for managing software complexity in software. Without good platforms it'll happen again.

@bigdogdevrel Thanks for the kind words! 😊 I really enjoyed the tutorial explaining the workbench, it was super clean and helpful. I don’t have any feedback yet, but if anything comes up as I keep using Motia, I’ll definitely share it.

Too many tools, too much glue. Stack Overflow 2024: ~33% of pro devs frustrated by stack complexity; 22.8% by the number of tools. I wrote about Motia — a “step” toward unifying the backend stack:

With the Tailwind news, it would be cool if Claude Code let me pay 1% more to automatically contribute to the open source projects I use based on my token spend. Or they could just do it.

Let's forget the business metrics for a moment and just create something a bit more human. This is another concept exploration of the Instagram story tray. Instead of having meaningless circles filled with random surprises or speculation to attract attention, this concept offers something more meaningful in building real connections with others. This offers you a delightful way to share moment and its feeling. Think of it as a magic window that gives you a glimpse of unique moments that people share, allowing you to look closer only when you see something that truly matters.
Daniel@danielrakh

Me 6 years ago 🤩: “wow this looks dope + users will notice stories more and view them. win win!” Me after working in social for 6 years🥴: “This is never going to ship. The height of the rectangles will push down the rest of the feed causing a regression in view time of the feed and ultimately revenue from ads + showing the content top level in the thumbnails will cause users to be more selective in what they view leading to a regression in overall story view time and ultimately revenue. lose lose!”

“I’m 19 and I’m building…” Using your age as a selling point is basically requesting special treatment for being young This might work when applying for a job: even if you’re not the most qualified today, you get points for high potential But if you’re pitching a product, you still need to lead with the merits of the product. Leading with your age can come across like you’re asking for easier grading If I use your thing and all my data gets stolen, I’m not going to apply age-DEI and say, “Oh well he was just 19!”

We are proud to share that Cloudflare is sponsoring Ladybird at the Platinum level ($100,000)! It means a lot that a big player like Cloudflare is supporting a small team like ours in building an independent browser for the open web! We're super grateful! 🧡☁️

A better internet depends on a diverse ecosystem. Today, we're proud to announce our support for @ladybirdbrowser (a completely independent browser built from scratch) and @OmarchyLinux (making Linux more approachable for devs). Super excited to see what the community builds!
