There are 2 car washes within a short distance of each other in our town. Someone is building a brand new one. I just don’t see the demand to support it. Do these things print money? Is it like self storage?

The UK economy basically works like this: Get paid £2,000. Give £900 to a landlord. Give £200 to the council. Give £150 to energy companies. Give £300 to supermarkets. Give £300 to car insurance and fuel. Spend the rest surviving until next payday. Then get lectured by someone who bought their house for £37,000 in 1988 about how you need to stop buying coffees and cancel subscriptions.

I’m saying they could earn £2k a month somewhere where rent is considerable cheaper. £2k a month is not a difficulty target to meet.

@markkingsthumb @TheProfessorZ @K_bumblebee @CallumLyon Your math isnt even mathing, even if I was to rent a place for 900, earning 2,000 before tax, id get deduction for NI and 20% tax on parts of that salary. 2000-900: 1,100 remaining, council tax around £100/200 pm, going down to £900, after deducting bills £500, getting to work?

@PandJLive daughter remains unpaid for a shift she did on 23/4. Apparently the issue is she didn’t clock in, but seeing as it was her first ever shift that’s on you. I know she did the shift, I picked her up late at night! Emails fobbed off. Poor treatment of staff.
