"Leftism" is a psychic trap, designed to corral you into either the "in-group" (which is designed to never be defined), or the "out-group" of the "right" (which is anything simply not in the "in-group"). It is not designed to unify, but rather, to stomp dissent into the ground.
From its inception around the French revolution (and later adoption by Marx), it's stood as such a shadowy behemoth underlying almost all political discussions because it's such a remarkably easy way to think of things and grasp onto. It's what MOST people are going to understand when they first enter into any kind of political discussion for the first time - even if they don't understand anything else, the idea of "left" and "right" are solidified in their minds, likely at a young age. This touches on our monkey brain's need for tribalism - we're either going to associate with "left" or "right" to some degree, with only those who are entirely outside political discussions for most of their life being spared exposure to the psychic trap.
The nature of left vs right is not symmetrical, despite the assumption of such. You don't have many clamoring to define or redefine "rightism", because the "right" is simply everything that ISN'T "left". At best, you'll have people simply saying "ackshually that's SOCIALISM!", when referring to things like fascism (because of "national socialism" etc). You may have some conservative and orthodox views labeled as "right wing", but they tend to exist within their own bubbles (IE: Christian conservatism, which is largely defined by its Christian roots) regardless of its relation to the "right".
Leftism, on the other hand, rejects strict orthodoxy in favor of pure social engineering and relational aggression to ensure conformity. Rather than referring to the contents of texts or principled ideological standpoints, it is enforced by the "in group" to drag the rest of itself along towards whatever goal. This is why you may see a myriad of ideologies come and go within leftism - why they'll tout liberalism one decade, but vehemently denounce liberty in most of its forms the next. Despite this, one consistent, key factor in "leftism" is the idea of "progressivism". By its nature, nothing is ever good enough - there must always be "progress". They'll never be able to sufficiently explain what they're progressing towards, only that it is good they are progressing. At best, a vague utopian ideal might be espoused - usually without sufficient evidence of it ever working, or in direct contradiction of evidence of it NOT working ("real socialism has never been tried!" etc). It is also incredibly important to remain within the good graces of the other members of the "leftist" tribalistic groups - like a clique in school you're not supposed to go against the will of, lest you face their wrath.
This is because "leftism" is, at its core, all about "enlightenment". It is no coincidence that the values of the governing political body which took over France after its revolution in 1789 more or less worshiped "science". This isn't because they sincerely want to utilize the scientific method to improve any particular thing. It is instead the notion that "more is ALWAYS a good thing!", entirely ignoring towards whatever end that knowledge might bring. It's a purely materialistic view of the world - that simply observing the nature of the world will always bring about change which is good.
This is evil. It is the nature of sin, as spoken of in the Bible. This isn't just Adam eating an apple once. It's a march of the legion constantly digging into the Earth, in the hopes of finding a spare diamond here and there, entirely ignoring the giant sinkhole that's about to be created.
The people at the helm of all this know it. The ones who truly "know" what's going on. They know what they're doing, roping the majority of their constituents into their evil march, masked in "goodness". Every action that's followed leftist revolutions has been extremely chaotic and turbulent that's spread more suffering and driven people away from God and true goodness. They'll never admit this publicly, but they simply do not have the capacity for goodness. They are devoid of any true soul - absolute psychopaths. It is no coincidence that time and time again, at the highest echelons of power, they are very frequently caught up in fraud schemes, child sex trafficking, and so on. Not only this, but many are involved in covering up these same acts. Why do you think Epstein, Bernie Madoff, the Sacklers etc were allowed to go on for so long?
The irony of all this is that the entire false dichotomy of "left vs right" stands in direct contrast to the real dichotomy of good vs evil - an inversion, because of course it is. Good is defined - it is what exists within the light of the Lord, by His grace. Evil is what is without that light - the "shadow", the "everything else". This means that goodness can be seen more as a centralized "ring" or "circle", while all that is outside the circle is evil. Very importantly, the circle does not move - you need only to find it and be within it to be within God's love, as defined time and time again in the Bible.
Not coincidentally, "leftism" is instead the "central axis". While not defined - because again, this would defeat its ability to constantly create chaos - it is still the centralized element, the "circle" you must be within to be allowed the pseudo-grace (curse) of its darklight. However, it is constantly moving - you have to keep chasing it to keep up, or else you're left behind and then you're out of the "in group".
When you see the evil events of the world continue to unfold - and believe me, it's only just getting started - remember this. Do not chase the false circle of light. God is good, and He will accept you.
