Whether or not you had luck in lotteries today, now's the ideal time to plan for 2025. We can help you at #SharmanUltraCoaching and have openings which are likely to fill quickly. Plus we're continuing our #BlackFriday deal of a reduced $99 set-up. sharmanultra.com

We selected the winners for our free coaching spots for veterans and surviving family members but will have more available every 4 months. Thanks for your service and thanks to @EatSuckerPunch for sponsoring these runners. #SharmanUltraCoaching #embracetheSUC

Huge congrats to our runners at #WS100 and you continue to inspire! #SharmanUltraCoaching had 7/7 finishers from 4 countries incl. 6/6 who aimed for a silver buckle, plus youngest finisher Maddie Wighardt and the most consecutive top 10s with Tyler Green (4). #embracetheSUC

@RenoDrew @NBTiller I've seen this as well. Most athletes it's pretty simple fixes, but for a rare few it's almost psycho-social with a wall at some distance.

@NBTiller Hard to say. I have a couple of runners that have tried everything but still start puking after 50 miles. I do think low exertion does help. Interestingly we didn’t see a lot of n/v at Further

GI distress during #ultramarathon: I'm speculating that when GI distress directly results in a DNF, it's because it's been inappropriately managed. For instance, if you rest, slow your pace, and/or change your #nutrition/hydration, GI distress will eventually subside. Thoughts?

@DxRxEdu @tony_breu Unicompartmental knee replacement. I'd been wondering whether knee OA could precipitate gouty arthritis in the toe.

@DxRxEdu @tony_breu This makes so much sense for me. Had a partial tear gone full tear of meniscus in Jan 2023. First gout flare in Sept 2023 but feel like the tophi progressed with OA. Just had a UKA but also been on allo to get UA to less than 5 mg/dL. Will I need to continue with the allo?

Looking at this I can’t believe it took me so long to start imaging tissue rather than just chopping it up for other analysis - thank you @AbigailMackey1 🤩 Also - that side note - zero drop outs in 11 years of doing human studies!! My proudest statistic 😎😅
Abigail Mackey@AbigailMackey1

Availing of our excellent microscopy facility #CFIM today with Stef Truijen, KU Leuven, to image biopsies from @grith_hojfeldt 's @UCPH_BRIDGE postdoc project (keeping her record of zero dropouts💪), our latest on human muscle regeneration @ISMCopenhagen ❤️#musclestemcells

Just got word that Do Hard Things has surpassed 150,000 copies sold. My purpose in writing is to explore ideas. As someone who was once told to take a remedial writing course in college...this is crazy. Thanks to all of you who keep making this possible: amzn.to/3T0ZTG9

@stevemagness I also think if you compared there relative amounts to the distance a marathon training program. Would not look to different. It's not apples to apples but interesting food for thought.

Here's the truth: I'm making a point. This was from Arthur Lydiard's original training schedules during the racing season. It seems like a lot, yet it led to champions, and was written by one of the greatest coaches in history...

What’s softened the blow of missing my goal is the joy of racing again. I had So. Much. Fun out there. ✨ Can’t wait to do it all again! Taking race ideas for the rest of 2024 👇🏼

The path of an athlete is not linear. It’s a journey of constant evolution, where the only opponent worth beating is the person you were yesterday. Champions understand, in the end, true success is not just about what you achieve, but who you become in the process.
