Our team: both parents in grad school with two kids, (one with major health issues), then postdoc, five first auth pubs/parent during postdoc, one k99, one narsad. Exteremly thankful for mentors who looked past our nontraditional circumstances at that phase in our career.

Our new paper challenges the standard E-I ratio hypothesis for autism. In 4 autism mouse models, E-I changes act to stabilize synaptic function, not increase excitability. E-I changes may be compensatory in autism. Press release at: tinyurl.com/yb4u4hbk via @ucberkeley
