🇮🇱🇱🇧 Insane footage shows an Israeli airstrike impacting right next to RT journalist Steve Sweeney in southern Lebanon. Russia Today says Steve and his cameraman are both conscious in the hospital.

For the first time, an Iranian-backed militia has carried out an FPV drone attack in Iraq, an incredibly dangerous new development. Seen here, the FPV munition flies around Victory Base near Baghdad International Airport before slamming into a building.

Absolutely wild media strategy here. This man made a career out of Islamophobia and kicking around with Tommy Robinson, before realising he could get more YouTube subs from talking about Ukraine.

🚨 Iran has fundamentally changed drone warfare. The Shahed-136. $20,000. Flies low under radar. Range of 4,000 km. 90 kg of explosives. The US Patriot missile that shoots it down: $4 million. That’s a 200-to-1 cost ratio. Iran doesn’t need to win every exchange. They just need to keep launching until the Gulf states run out of $4 million missiles. That’s the strategy. Flood the zone. Drain the arsenal. Break the bank. Ukraine figured this out fighting Russian Shaheds for two years — 250 to 350 drones per day, 4 to 5 days a week. That’s why the US is now buying Ukrainian $3,000 interceptors to fight a war in the Middle East. The most expensive military in human history is being economically exhausted by a $20,000 drone. Japan’s Nikkei down 6%. Oil up 53%. Gas heading to $5. The Strait empty. Seven Americans dead. And Iran has 200 more drones for every Patriot missile we fire. Do the math.

Whether I like it or not, Russia is not retreating. Quite the opposite — it seems to be winning. So what’s your proposal? Fight to the last Ukrainian? Like @ivoandric61 you are calling for more deaths? The nearly 2 million lives lost already is not enough? There’s no room for negotiation or diplomacy for the sake of stopping the bloodshed and saving lives?

Well. The invading army could retreat of course. The would reduce the amount of people killed drastically. As long as Russia don't want to end many more people will die. Russia won't end as long as it believes it can achieve it's goal militarily. So @Andric1961 has a point.

A German journalist at a prominent German newspaper says: "Every additional Russian soldier killed, whether young or old, is a step towards peace." Whatever your opinion of the war in Ukraine, this kind of bloodthirst among journalist is deeply disturbing.

One of the strange things about this war is that so much of what Trump says about it has no relation to the truth. When he said that Iran bombed the school, he would have known he would be contradicted by the facts.

🚨 CONFIRMED: Footage reviewed and geolocated by Bellingcat confirms US tomahawk missiles hit the girls’ primary school in southern Iran that killed 180 people, most of them children. Researcher Trevor Ball notes Israel does not possess Tomahawk missiles. United States does.

Whatever your views on Putin—my own are very negative -- statements that advocate murder at a mass scale cannot possibly be appropriate for a journalist at a major news outlet. They're impossible to square with the professional and ethical norms of journalism

The only reason to bomb anything 40 min apart is to kill the rescuers. Doing that to an elementary school is beyond depraved. The United States is the most evil entity on the planet
Ben Norton@BenjaminNorton

Reuters confirmed that the elementary school in the Iranian city of Minab was bombed TWICE by the US military, 40 minutes apart. This was intentional. You don't "accidentally" bomb a school TWO TIMES. 168 children and 14 teachers were killed. It was a massacre.

A horrific US war crime, up there with My Lai. A must-read for all the folks in my mentions yesterday screaming that they knew definitively this was an Iranian misfire. And also, a teachable moment on the laws of war and, perhaps, the perils of AI warfare. 🧵

A New York Times investigation indicates that it was a US strike on an Iranian school that killed 175 people, mostly children. nytimes.com/2026/03/05/wor…
