I believe all lives matter. However… What was done to Iryna Zarutska was beyond heartbreaking. Afterwards, the savage who stabbed her said “I got that white bitch.” Also, while she was bleeding out, the people around her did nothing. What was done to Henry Nowak was legitimate injustice. The cops were way more afraid to be seen as racist than they were to enforce the law. Besides, wearing this shirt would piss off the right people, so I think it’s funny. Reason I don’t wear a Black Lives Matter shirt is because no one wearing that shirt would give a rat’s ass if my black conservatarian ass died. Speaks to a larger problem than just “black lives.”

🚨Karmelo Anthony is GUILTY.🚨 As a teacher of 10 years and a Black Christian man, I’m removing ALL racial bias and calling it straight: He brought a weapon to school — that alone is an automatic crime and grounds for expulsion. Then he put himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and chose to stab another kid instead of walking away. This is an open-and-shut case. Without the politics and racial tension being forced into it, everyone would see the facts clearly: Karmelo Anthony killed that boy. I pray for the victim and his family. Justice must prevail over narrative. #KarmeloAnthony #JusticeForTheVictim #NoExcuses #BringWeaponsToSchoolGetExpelled #FactsOverFeelings #EndThePoliticization #BlackManSpeakingTruth

Today’s Veteran’s Month Highlight: SFC Alwyn Cashe Born in Sanford, Florida and raised in Oviedo, SFC Alwyn Cashe served in the Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom. On October 17, 2005 in Iraq, after his Bradley was hit by an IED and caught fire, he repeatedly went back into the burning vehicle - while engulfed in flames himself - to pull out six soldiers and an interpreter. He suffered burns over 72% of his body but refused to be evacuated until his men were safe. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor and Purple Heart. True hero! Our Veterans deserve our gratitude and respect. 🇺🇸🫡

Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration. More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸

Hey @WhiteHouse I've been following Rodney for years. His org is amazing and he is a premier example of the American spirit, lifting up children across the nation and helping them become the next generation of entrepreneurs and caretakers. Make this guy your next Trump lawnmower meme!

For 4/5s of my life elections were simple. Mail-in ballots had a deadline earlier than the election because they were an accommodation. On Election Day, all votes were counted and the results announced after a few hours. In the earlier days, this was hand counted. Today, we have systems that should make this more efficient and accurate. Any elections that take weeks to count are easily tampered with, like your mind.

🇬🇧 Hampshire police claim that Henry Nowak would have died anyway, regardless of whether he was handcuffed or not. The Hampshire police have issued an official defense for the actions taken by the officers who handcuffed 18-year-old Henry Nowak as he was pleading for help. The medical examiner has testified that Vickrum Digwa’s 21 cm blade had caused a catastrophic wound directly to Henry's heart. Because the blade penetrated so deeply, the blood was pooling inside his chest cavity rather than soaking his clothes immediately. According to the pathologist, the trauma to his heart was unsurvivable from the moment it occurred, arguing that it didn't matter who was handcuffed at the scene first. The Deputy Chief Constable has publicly stated that "the pathologist who spoke in court was clear: there was nothing officers could have done that day to save Henry. His wound was deep and internal, the bleeding extensive but internal." Henry's father, Mark Nowak, stressed that while the wound was fatal, the police's mishandling denied his son the right to die with dignity, care, or peace. Essentially, the British police shifted their narrative on Henry Nowak from "we did nothing wrong" to "he would have died anyway, so the delay doesn't matter."

New statement from Scott Pelley:   There has never been anything in America like 60 Minutes.   The Sunday tradition is the most successful program of any kind in history. For more than a decade, its innovative growth on every major online platform has extended its reach to countless millions around the world. This spring, at the end of our 58thseason, 60 Minutes grew rapidly with an unheard-of 9% jump in viewers on CBS.   “60” has been the number-one program in America for decades because our beloved audience finds integrity, quality, and humanity in our stories. When stewardship of the program passed to my colleagues and me, our responsibility was to expand energetically into a new age of media technology while preserving the values our audience expects. Now, the new owner of our network is casting this legend aside, apparently to curry a moment of favor with the Trump administration.   The waste is heartbreaking.   Last month, 60 Minutes lost its DNA when our entire senior leadership and two of our best on-air correspondents were cruelly fired without cause. Good people were silenced because they stood up for our audience. They stood for fairness against the forces of political bias; they stood for professionalism against chaos.   For my part, new management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I’ve been told to include assertions that are unverified. To date, in every case, I have managed to ignore these instructions or refuse them. Recently, politicians have been invited to choose correspondents for interviews on the broadcast. Giving politicians control over 60 Minutes interviews is not how this is done. Finally, incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc. In a case involving one of my stories, the entire program came within 19 minutes of not getting on the air at all.   At 60 Minutes, we have fought harder than anyone knows to save the program that became an American icon. We owed that to our millions of viewers. I am deeply moved by the thousands of wishes we have received to “keep up the good fight.” Most of the men and women of CBS News are still in that fight. But now the collapse of values at the top has become untenable. The leadership of 60 Minutes is no longer recognizable. The principles I hold dear are gone, and so I must leave as well.   I depart after 37 years at CBS with one emotion—a heart brimming with gratitude for the men and women of CBS News who encouraged and enriched my work, very often at the risk of their own lives. I pray for a day when those people and their ideals are honored again—a day when sanity, competence, and courage return.   Scott Pelley
