I started my streetwear brand 5 months ago, and today we just hit our first million in sales. I did this with no fashion experience. But there are three things I’m really good at: I know how to create content that sells. I know how to run paid ads. I know how to systemize. A lot of brands focus on building a community and organic growth. That’s important, but I also think it’s a waste of time in the beginning. I did things in reverse. I sold to complete strangers just to validate the idea. I took the validation part a bit too far… Even to this day, we don’t have a community or a brand identity. We just have one sick product that people want so badly. And a really crazy upsell system. Make your product so good that it sells itself. When you’re just starting out, focus on your product, shooting sick creatives, and learning paid ads. The rest will follow.
