My wife and I barely eat sweets. In fact, we don't store sugar or jaggery at home since we got married and more after our weight-loss journey. But today, during a short stop for water while visiting someone, we spotted a tiny place called Shivam Dairy. It’s a small, family-run dairy-farm sweet shop with just five items and lassi. They make only one tray of each sweet every morning. When we walked in, one of the trays was being freshly cut for a customer, the whole shop smelled incredible. We picked up a small portion of Kalakand for our kid. And wow. Absolute killer. Rich taste, full of milk, insanely soft, melts the moment it touches your tongue. Loved it. Maybe we do love sweets after all, we just stopped eating them because everything outside had become too commercial.
