They went into Abu Dhabi on even points in a winner-takes-all and Lewis absolutely dominates Max. For the promised excitement the FIA then CHOOSE Max to win.

@am_shittu94 Max a littéralement optimisé sa saison, Lewis a perdu des points sur ses propres erreurs (Imola et Baku par exemple). En plus Max a eu plus de malchance (strike en hongrie, crevaison a Baku). Si Max n'avait pas gagné ca aurait été plus choquant. Il a plus de tours menés, etc...

@redbullbaby05 @Seb5meister They were still fastest by Italy where they took a 1-2 and arguably were stronger than or equal to Mercedes in Singapore. Then performance dipped with a short resurgence in Austin. They were certainly generally faster until Russia tho.

@Seb5meister it was fast for like first 5-6 races then the Ferrari tanked the dev and anyway .. Mercedes didn’t just win championships because of the fastest cars .. they were operationally unbeatable. Ferrari was terrible.

@sebvetyoubeauty 2014 Rosberg was great too tho. Lewis finished (when he finished) every race on the podium and has the second highest average finishing position behind only 2023 Max. It still went to Abu Dhabi. So does Vettel win in Lewis place? I think arguably no

people think that Vettel lost his form in 2014 when most of his results are only because he had a landslide of issues in his car that year. 2018, people think that Lewis or alonso would win in Ferrari lol. Did all of you forget how bad Ferrari we're operating as a team ++

@ImNotBekim Lewis had some post-Rosberg hangover and took a while to get up to speed which tbf is/was a regular occurance for him. The European leg was usually where Lewis really got going.
