BREAKING: OpenAI reportedly plans to nearly double its workforce to 8,000 from 4,500 by the end of the year.

Highly progressive taxes are especially bad for people who make irregular amounts of income. Like if you're a real estate agent and you make $2 million in a great year but then just $100,000 in a bad year. In Washington state, you'd now be taxed at a total rate of 50.8% on the amount over $2 million. You're being taxed like you always make $2 million but no, you're actually just an upper-middle-class earner who needs to save and/or invest most of that "windfall" income for all the down years. This is already a big problem at the federal level, of course.

amazon is in an awkward place- they've systematically devalued human talent and pushed out anyone competent with rto and crappy pay but the models aren't good enough yet what a pickle!

@gregpr07 this may surprise you that thus is coming from me but I think we’re in for a 1-3 year period where stuff might break at 3am and if you’re relying on loops to fix it and nobody understands what’s under the hood, you’re looking at an existential threat to your company
