When Half-Life came out, it would be awhile before I could afford a PC that could play it. By the time I could, the hype had largely died down. I started it, but never played it the whole way through. Today we're going to fix that live.

Namco saw the sales were bad for Tag 2, but what they don't realize is that the entire community was cut in half transitioning from T5 > T6. The way we currently feel about Tekken 8 was how the OGs felt about rage and bound being introduced. They complained about comeback mechanics hurting the competitive integrity of the game. Most faded away over time, but they would coach or support their scene regardless of the disagreement in direction. The other half of the community that stuck around for Tag 2 REALLY held it down. My weeklies were being held in side a Metro PCS for christ's sake! We had to be like top 5 most loyal community on earth. The enthusiasm we had for Tag 2 laid down the foundation needed for T7 to flourish the way it did. However, Namco took the "failure" of tag 2 and saw how much better T7 sold. They figured the new mechanics around rage drive/art were the things that made it sell so well, so they cranked that shit up all the way for T8. Right now we're seeing the same cycle repeat. So many people who have been around forever are dropping off. At the same time, there ARE people that love Tekken 8 staying around, which is cool. Maybe the next Tekken will pop off again because of the new generation? All I know is things should not be the way they are right now, man.

i think guys stopped telling people what they actually like because every time they did someone made them feel weird about it like a grown man can't say he loves a video game or a movie or a song without someone going "seriously? that's what you're into?" so they just stop sharing. and then one day they realize they haven't talked about something they love in years because nobody made it feel safe enough to i don't want to be that person for anyone. if you're into something i want to hear about it, even if i don't understand it. especially if no one else asked tell me something you love that you stopped talking about 🥺

What’s something about playing the guitar that only other guitarists understand?

Case in point: What launches in Tekken used to be very visually obvious. Now it makes no sense. I can sneeze, and if it catches you on the toe you fly up in the air. But you know, skill issue. I need to get in the lab with frame data on and find all those toe sneeze launchers.

People treat fighting games like a numbers game too much that it feels like no one plays by feel anymore. It’s always “how do i set up the safe jump” or “how can i set up a frame kill for plus frames” Not everything needs a set up. Learn how to improv instead.

BREAKING: Microsoft just announced several major changes to Windows 11 in an effort to win back user trust and evolve the platform into something people will actually want to use over macOS and Linux! It's a huge announcement that addresses Windows 11's biggest problems today, tackling core fundamental issues such as unreliable system performance, UX consistency, AI bloat and general enshittification. Microsoft has confirmed that this year, it WILL be reducing where ads and Copilot appear throughout the system, including in Start, Widgets, Notepad, Photos, and more! File Explorer and Windows Search will be upgraded with improved performance and capabilities that make finding apps and files much faster and easier. The OS will become lighter with less RAM and system utilization at idle, making it smoother to run on low end hardware with limited memory. These improvements will also benefit high-end PCs too. Windows Update will be improved with more granular controls and the ability to postpone updates for longer, along with reducing how often the OS needs to restart to install an update. Microsoft has also confirmed that it's bringing back fan favourite features such as the ability to move the Taskbar! It's also working to update more areas of the system shell with modern WinUI designs, which should make Windows 11 feel more coherent and complete. There's much more in the announcement, and it honestly all sounds too good to be true. Microsoft really is listening to feedback, and is eager to make Windows the BEST desktop OS on the market.
