Happy #EarthDay2022!! We do what we do not just because #oceanscience is totally cool and exciting, but in the end, it's for our children's #future. We have a responsibility to the kids to make sure that the #Earth will be as good of a home to them as it has been to us.

Who is this amazing young scientist? This is Dr. Laur Ferris who graduated from the #C2PO lab of @VIMS_News in December 2021. Her dissertation explored numerous aspects of cross-scale energy transfer in the upper ocean. She is now an #ONR SEED postdoc at UW-APL.

Who is this, you may ask? This is @SeastarWang who graduated with Ph.D. in Marine Science from the #C2PO lab of @VIMS_News in May 2021. His dissertation explored circulation and dynamics of submarine canyons off the U.S. east coast. He is now a risk analyst at Berkshire Hathaway.
