Today, PA State Senator Lindsey Williams (D-Pittsburgh), in prepared remarks ahead of the committee vote on the Save Women's Sports Act (Senate Bill 9), in effect called for the eradication of separate sports for boys and girls. "Female bodies are just as strong and fast and capable as male bodies." These types of claims are simply rooted in political-driven fantasy. Why do we have girls sports to begin with? Why is there Title IX? As the bill co-sponsor @SenatorKristin stated to the committee, "Women before us successfully fought for equality with educational and athletic opportunity. In Title IX, it was a promise to our daughters and our granddaughters. And SB9 keeps that promise." The #SaveWomensSports Act #SB9 passed out of committee 7-4. All Republicans voted yes to protect girls. All Democrats voted against it. NEW: Holy crap! We Heart Seattle just exposed “safe consumption” drug shacks being operated by the Low Income Housing Institute, one of the largest operators of tiny houses for the homeless. Instead of addiction treatment on site, residents at Interbay Village have the option to smoke all kinds of drugs including fentanyl. Staff are supposed to be watching for overdoses with Narcan shots nearby. Problem is, LIHI leaders never tout this part of their taxpayer funded operation. Mayor Vaughn is not a villain. He is a weak man who is trying to bolster Amity’s economic health, and allowed himself to be convinced that the Tiger shark they caught was the real deal. When Chief Brody was yelling at Vaughn in rage and terror, Vaughn responded, pale-faced, “My kids were on that beach, too.” Also Chief Brody also signed on to the deal to keep the beaches open which is why he was so mad - he blamed himself. It was a great cinematic moment, and it created the trope of the “little shark” - used in a lot of horror and suspense movies since then. The authorities find something or someone to blame the killings on and thus stop hunting the real killer so they can hold the boat festival or whatever. A good example is the movie The Relic. There’s a killer monster at the museum. They find a homeless guy living in the basement and shoot him and assume he’s the murderer so they can host the museum gala. Then the monster eats the gala. The big difference in Jaws from the later “little shark” versions is usually the others have the authorities be totally evil. Jaws humanized Mayor Vaughn.

@Kasparov63 You're being hysterical. What about known cases of ballots being discarded by mailmen, ballots torched in ballot boxes. ICE cannot replace poll workers. We've seen poll workers drive out observers in the last two elections. These things don't make your list though.

When mail-in voting is limited or eliminated, then selected polling stations are closed or surrounded with "security checks", when poll workers are replaced by ICE "for security", when ballots are confiscated for "fraud", maybe you’ll take it seriously. Too late.
