Air Canada, West Jet, Delta, all of them should refuse to fly to any airport that doesn’t have all their runway safety equipment operational. Including in emergency vehicles. Or, where staffing levels in their ✈️ Towers is not compromised.

@Mikeggibbs Here's the problem. If you look at Taxiway D on the LaGuardia plate, it is oblique to runway 4/22 - the plane was effectively behind the fire truck and in it's blind spot. There are other safety systems - not sure if they were functioning.

What I don't understand: why didn't the fire truck stop? The Air Canada jet was VERY visible with its front landing gear lights on. Do they not look before they cross runways?! They just blindly follow instructions? #AirCanada

Canada produces 5mbbl/d but if Northern Gateway, Energy East, and KeystoneXL had been built, we would be producing just over 10mbbl/d and possibly crack the top 3 producers in the world. I am very happy to see the public reaction to this demand from the Conservative Party is overwhelmingly negative. Guess what's the strongest argument people advocating for this use? There are worse recipients than Don Cherry. If that's our criteria for the Order of Canada we should fold it up. Don Cherry must never be appointed because he traffics in violence and hate. Arguably Don Cherry is the biggest reason why toxic violent hockey parents are a thing. Had Cherry ever expressed sincere remorse and made amends for any of his harmful, serious lapses when he had the most watched stage in Canada, perhaps he would be worthy. But he never did. Instead he doubled down into self-pity. He reflects everything Canadians ought not to be, our worst, darkest compulsions. Don Cherry will forever be a shameful figure in our history. The Conservatives need to listen to Canadians and drop this.

@fette_a The Province has a constitutional obligation for education. If the province wishes to maintain a curriculum across the province, it has obligation to pay for it to be taught! Public-Charter-Private - if it's Alberta's curriculum, Alberta gets to pay to have it taught!

I believe Alberta is the only province who uses public funds for private schools. Education is a right. Private is a privilege. Smith funnels more money to the wealthy than to benefit all Albertans. I’m betting MLAs with children will get free tuition for this.
