I went to Catholic school for 18 years and Catholic Mass for 18 years and literally never heard the Gospel. Not once.
The first time I felt Jesus’ love for me in a church and came even close to understanding what that meant was at the late John MacArthur’s Grace Community. I was blown away at what I had been missing my whole life.

I understand Catholic doctrine. That said, I didn’t encounter the gospel until I left the Catholic Mass. I understand not everyone feels the way I do, but that was my experience. I went through 18 years of Catholic schooling and Mass but never knew the gospel until I left and went to an evangelical church.

@MikeWingerii There was no fixed canon of Scripture at this time. St Paul called the living community the pillar and ground, when you say it's the written texts. The Orthodox Catholic Church determined the canon centuries later and it's not your Judaized heterodox canon.
