@TheOtherTravGuy Went back to play Eternal and I think I like Dark Ages's _combat_ more. Eternal's secrets and movement is still better IMO. A few tweaks to levels and pacing and Dark Age's would be a clear winner!

@UnderTheMayo @literaryparadox I mostly agree, but it does lack a bit of depth from Eternal. I still wish it had a bit more encouragement of weapon/rune/melee swapping. Maybe more depth in upgrades as well. Platforming was more fun in Eternal as well. Just a few tweaks and I think I'd prefer TDA

@literaryparadox yeah it's wild for me. Something about it just feels right. As a whole game I probably prefer eternal. But strictly talking about combat, I think I MIGHT like TDA better.

@paulcsmith Thanks!! I’ll have things tweaked more by the next time I post I’m sure - yeah it always feels darker on socials but usually doesn’t feel that way in editor, for me. My eternal battle with getting the values right, haha.

@QuodSoler Agree. Strength of the blue matters a lot too. IMO if you’re doing global it can still look good but needs to be quite low strength by default

@paulcsmith @UnrealEngine In smaller tests, it's been reasonable for using on personal environments. But I haven't used it in larger formats with a lot more involved.

Hey all,
Had fun with this new workflow. I setup landscape blend materials with nanite displacement in @UnrealEngine 5.5. This is pretty powerful for material blending in the new versions. Hope this vid helps with setup!
