@pgh877@hallofgoodpod I'm Gen X and fluent in sarcasm and assuming it was, it wasn't good and when I looked up his stats I just wanted to share them.
So, you sir, can eat a dick.
@hallofgoodpod That is ridiculous. Or are you just trolling for reactions? He won a fucking MVP and RoY, FFS. He was a 6x All Star and 5x Silver slugger.
He has >1,000 runs and RBI + >200 SBs and a career average near .300 + an OPS of .891.

@pgh877 I love Mitchell. But he was a bad fit and they forced it before they needed that piece. So getting him put the organization in more of a win now made when they weren’t ready to win now. That led to Garland/Harden. James is another great player, but probably not the right player.
The Isaac Okoro trade killed this franchise:
1. Traded Okoro for Lonzo Ball
2. Didn’t re-sign Ty Jerome because you acquired his replacement
3. Traded Hunter because he became a lemon without Ty
4. Keon/Dennis acquired to try to replicate Okoro/Ty
5. Lost our last 2nd round picks dumping Lonzo
6. Keon is ass, Dennis is ass and signed for $14m next season
@TXHoopsCoach Better options than 45 don’t just hit the market. It isn’t 2k. No one played well, it’s game 4, series is tied coming back to Cleveland, we can stop this nonsense after game 6
@pgh877@IsaacOkoroFan@cavs They still have Allen and Mobley, while replacing Garland with Harden. And they once again will probably not advance beyond Rd 2. They eventually would have needed something, but it probably wasn’t a ball-dominant guard.
Just a hypothetical… would Giannis’s rim pressure have led to a sweep in this series?
I say absolutely yes.
** this is not a pick on Mobley tweet, this is just a question based on rumors at the deadline **
@cameronsettles@pgh877@IsaacOkoroFan@cavs Trust me, I haven’t forgotten. I think Chicago and Cleveland both failed to realize what just what Markkanen could do. I was thrilled when @cavs got him. He’s not the best at the defensive end, but the rest of his game would be great here.
@IsaacOkoroFan The Mitchell trade is actually what did it. @Cavs forced their own timeline instead of letting it develop and just happen naturally. Traded for the missing piece before they really needed the missing piece. And then that piece wasn’t a great fit with what they had been building.
@Fartsmella113@OneEyedJohny@pgh877@EricEstepp17 Have you noticed how it's always the same damn guys that start these crashes? Bubba, Chastain, Logano and Stenhouse. If there's a massive crash you can guarantee one or more of those drivers was at the beginning of it.
@EricEstepp17 I'm pissed. I'm beyond pissed!! We waited half the race to finally start driving and then the entire field piles up because Bubba Wallace decided to try to block all 3 lanes like a damn fool!!! I can't stand that clown!!
@PassingDrill@JFreshHockey We’re going in circles here to end back up at the same place. A top pick doesn’t guarantee a generational player, none of it matters if you can’t develop the rest of the team, waiting around for the next Celebrini isn’t a viable option for everyone.Time will tell! have a good 1🤟🏻
@JFreshHockey@PassingDrill Theirs an insane amount of luck involved with getting a pick or two that can grab you a truly elite, generational player. Yes those are the guys who win Stanley cups, no I don’t think that’s the only way, and if that’s what a front office waits around for they’ll all get fired
@PassingDrill@JFreshHockey What are you looking for though ? You can spend 10 years tanking and never find a no doubter, elite, top 3 in the league for a decade kind of player. But you can absolutely build a great-winning caliber lineup with a core that’s just consistently very good.
@JFreshHockey@PassingDrill So in essence, the other way is to draft really well throughout the draft and find a staff who are really excellent. I’d argue Pittsburgh has shown they can do both those things
@JFreshHockey@PassingDrill It could go either way. Both being regressing skaters worries me about how much they’d fetch. But looking at the past drafts of a lot of teams who are good right now, they derived so much value from 2nd-7th, free agency and trades. Those teams also tend to have elite development
@liam_rhea@JFreshHockey@PassingDrill It all really depends on how things would’ve fell for us. That’s the issue with it. I just truly believe you don’t need to trade away guys for 3rd and 4th rounders if they’re in their 20s and producing for you. It’s just down to how to execute on your assets.
@pgh877@JFreshHockey@PassingDrill Which is why we probably should’ve traded them at the 2025 deadline. Not only would’ve gotten more assets, but could’ve finished with the 4th or 5th worst record and drafted Martone or Hagens with our pick and Kindel with the Rangers’ pick.
