@DouglasCarswell Because the people inside the MOD and civil service are shit at spending money.
See the NHS for working comparisons.

🇬🇧UK Military Spend
████████████████████ $82B
🇺🇸US Marine Corp Military Spend

So, how much bang for that buck?
UK vs USMC - Front-Line Deployable
Personnel UK: ~20-30k USMC: ~172k
Tanks UK: ~20-60 USMC: 0
Ships UK: ~10-15 USMC: 14-18 Navy amphibs
Aircraft UK: 400-500 USMC: ~1,100
Why does UK defence spending buy so little?

@RosieDuffield1 @KarlTurnerMP Hi Rosie, £1.90 a litre,
The public has no interest in you folk patting each other on the back with how much you respect one another.
English

And just for the record again, @KarlTurnerMP is one of the most respected, most decent, most popular MPs, liked across the House. And his political know-how is clearly considerably greater than those foolish enough to be 'briefing' (lying and gossiping) viciously against him.

I plan to mass produce 1488 units of Hitlers personal watch that sold for $1.1m at auction, nobody has ever made an exact copy.
I want to crowdfund it, but I don’t believe indiegogo would allow such an item.
Are there any crowdfunding platforms for stuff like this? Revenue would be at least $400k alone

@OutWithDuckism @DJignyte @TimLilley5 @DJSnM @CommiNathan @NASA @SpaceX And that's also great, one isn't better than the other necessarily but it does highlight different engineering philosophies.

@DJignyte @TimLilley5 @philnmarks @DJSnM @CommiNathan @NASA @SpaceX And you have 3 screens, each capable of doing all the stuff needed. More than likely, each of those screens has individual control electronics, to be completely independent from others. Also there are physical buttons in Dragon, just all of them are below the screens.

"FUCK THAT": LIAM GALLAGHER EXPLAINS WHY A NEW OASIS ALBUM COULD DESTROY THE BAND (AGAIN)
When a fan suggested that while new music would be “nice,” Oasis has a catalog so deep they could “tour forever” just by rotating their classic B-sides and deep cuts. Liam’s response hit the nail on the head regarding the impossible expectations placed on legacy acts:
"People would moan if it wasn’t up there with the classics and all the music magazines would give it 4 out of 5 stars, then we’d all cry and the pressure would be too much then we’d split up again so FUCK IT"
Liam prioritising the longevity of the reunion over the gamble of the recording studio, proves his protective instinct over the Oasis legacy remains sharp.

MP's shouldn't be allowed to get away with spouting this amount of bollocks,
They know they do it, they're happy to do it.
Scumbags.

Back in 2013, @Ed_Miliband proposed an energy price cap. David Cameron called it “Marxist.” Today it kicks in, cutting £117 a year from bills, perfect timing given the conflict in Iran. Turns out someone was right all along. Cheers, Ed. ⚡
English

@lukejcr @Ed_Miliband claiming today's routine adjustment as a 2013 Miliband victory that somehow shields us from Iran is pure revisionism. The "cut" is largely funded by taxpayers elsewhere, it doesn't address the drivers of high UK energy costs (Reliance on intermittent renewables + green levies)
English

@lukejcr @Ed_Miliband This drop has nothing to do with protecting consumers from Iran-related price spikes. Future quarters (July onwards) are already forecast to see upward pressure precisely because of geopolitical events. The tweet frames it as perfect foresight; it's actually just the normal lag

@AnnelieseDodds Coming up on 1.90 a litre,
If actual human beings with real jobs spouted this bollocks they'd be fired yesterday
